Even though I'm a Manchester United supporter, I'll watch ALL football matches in the Premier League. In this case, I took a trip to the Etihad to watch Manchester City vs Everton (15 OCT 2016). I had a front row seat, the fixture ended up a 1-1 draw with City missing two penalties by Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. It was an absolute brilliant day!

I love road trips, so I drove West to Louisville to have a sit down with Rex at a local Panera (I got the $8.99 monthly subscription for the all you can drink coffee, people it's a great deal... although I think my eye lids are starting to twitch... gotta start drinking decaf...), and we just yucked it up for 90 minutes.

Hadn't seen Rex for a while, but he's been busy coaching his boys, and they are making waves on the US junior tennis scene, great to see! No doubt this will be round 1, the next time we'll go into the internal stories of his Louisville program, with some of his prominent players, his friendship with Rick Pitino, his boosters, and with iconic college AD, Tom Jurich. Can't wait!

Alfie Cheng, Tan Chin Teck, and Fong Meng Kai, tiga kawan Malaysia sesat di US 😂.

All three are tennis icons within their communities. Coach Tan is the Head Tennis Coach at the University of the Cumberlands, Williamsburg, KY. Kai Fong is the Director of Tennis at Lewis-Clark State College, Lewiston, Idaho. Alfie is the President of the Lake Cumberland Tennis Association (LCTA), doing all sorts of grassroots activities in his area.

Just had a fascinating conversation with the Founder of the Lexington Men's & Women's USTA Challenger, Dennis Emery. He takes us through the creation and the longevity of this iconic tennis event in US tennis, from inception to current day, the whys behind all the decisions made for the growth of this event.

Jen Brady, a recent Finalist at the 2021 Australian Open, is one of a slew of men's and women's professionals who have previously competed at this event, spring-boarding their careers in the worlds top ten singles rankings.

Had the best time recording podcast with fellow Wildcat and Basketball Grand Legend, Kyle Macy! Not many know that as Kyle played basketball for Purdue his freshman year, he was also on their tennis team. Soon after that season, Kyle transferred to Kentucky, red-shirted a year, then was starting guard for UK and won the 1978 Division I NCAA National Championship, and thus part of the winningest program in college basketball!

We are The Big Blue Nation!
