Indian Valley's Got Talent!
Plan to attend the elementary school talent show at 6 p.m. Friday in the Indian Valley Elementary Center auditorium. 17 acts will be performed by students and teachers. A special guest appearance by Chris Ruble is planned as well.
Admission is $3 for adults and free for students and children. Light refreshments will be available for purchase during intermission. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Head to the Mifflin County Library for its Block Play Party, set for 10 a.m. Saturday. Registration is not necessary.

A team of Lewistown Intermediate School students is taking in the sweet smell of victory — powered by manure.
Students Christopher Moon, Kaitlyn Jefferys, Parker Kearns and Rickie Hannon were third place finishers in the 2017 K’nex STEM Design Challenge, held Thursday at Tuscarora Intermediate Unit 11 in McVeytown. Moon, Jefferys, Kearns and Hannon presented “Whiplash,” an environmentally-friendly amusement park ride they dreamed up, which is powered by animal waste.
