The Lenoir City High School boys basketball team finished fourth overall in the school's Christmas tournament after routing First Baptist Academy-Powell on Dec. 27 but falling to Upperman High School on Thursday and Chucky Doak High School in a thriller Friday.

On Friday, the Panthers led throughout but lost in the final 10 seconds.

The Lenoir City High School girls basketball team bounced back Friday with a 51-47 win over Maryville High School to secure a seventh-place finish in the LCHS Christmas tournament.

Kymbal Williams led with 19 points with 5 3-pointers.

The Greenback School boys basketball team has been suspended from the 2024 playoffs by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association following a Dec. 19 altercation at Oakdale High School.
