When I was 5, my father left due to poor choices, leaving me broken and confused. But when my family joined the church, I discovered I had a Heavenly Father who knew me and my situation.

One summer before 8th grade, I felt inspired to send my dad a Book of Mormon. A few years later, he told us he’d been taking missionary discussions and was grateful for the book. He was baptized and converted through Jesus Christ.

Just like Alma in Mosiah 27:8-37; 28:1-4, my father and I were reborn through Christ. It’s only through our Savior that we can truly change and become who we are meant to be.

Today, our group had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Taylorsville Temple Creators Tour. As Latter-day Saints, temples hold a special place in our hearts. They are sacred spaces where we make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father and are sealed as families for eternity.

Stay tuned for a special interview with Sister Tracy Y. Browning, who was recently sustained as Second Counselor in the Primary General Presidency for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

And the exciting news continues! A public open house for the Taylorsville Utah Temple begins this Saturday, April 13th and runs through Saturday, May 18th, excluding Sundays. This is a fantastic opportunity to tour the temple and learn more about its significance in our faith.

Elder David A. Bednar teaches that the sacrament is a continual invitation to “repent sincerely and to be renewed spiritually.”

Partaking of the sacrament itself doesn’t erase our mistakes, but when we prepare with a repentant heart, we can receive the incredible promise of the Holy Spirit being with us always.
