Why do Esports events matter?

Great question. (Stick around if you're into marketing)

So, this last Saturday I hosted a $500 Overwatch tournament.

The numbers are in, and I wanted to share my key takeaways that we can all (hopefully) learn from.

The stats are as follows:

-8 hour 15 Minutes Streamed
-1,355 Live Views
-633 Max Views (At One Time)
-732 Unique Viewers
-54 Avg. Viewers

So why is this important? For a few reasons:

1) Organic interest in Esports events is still high
2) Gamers WANT to follow story lines, events, and players
3) Collegiate-aged students feel there are NOT enough opportunities for them

With this being said, I can CONFIRM that we will be hosting another $500 tournament.
