A Farewell from Valley Horse News
It is with a heavy heart that I am letting you all know that Valley Horse News will be shutting down, effective immediately.
It has not been an easy decision to make but it is time for the publication to come to a close. The simplest way of stating the reason for this unexpected closure all comes down to sustainability.
As so many individuals and businesses have experienced themselves in recent years, the financial burdens that come with operating a business can be extensive and they can change rapidly. The current economic climate and inflation has dramatically increased the costs of operating this business. Everything from postage, shipping supplies, printing, utilities, programming, gas, and more have all increased in price over the last seven years that I have owned this newspaper.
And it is this yearly increase of costs that is, sadly, leading to this difficult but necessary decision. This means that the April 2024 edition of Valley Horse News will be the very last edition produced.
While this may be the end of a long journey, one that stretches back all the way to 1992 when the publication was first founded, there are many things of which this publication can be very proud.
I wish to say a huge thank you first of all to the original founding owners of this publication. It wouldn’t have existed in the first place without you and it was an honor to keep it going for these last seven years. I also wish to say another enormous thank you to all of my advertisers and subscribers for their wonderful business, support, and patronage.
And I would like to say a huge final thank you to all of you amazing readers and followers. Anyone that has picked up a copy of Valley Horse News, downloaded a copy from the website, and given it a read. You are very much appreciated.
I hope the publication has given readers the chance to discover things they wanted to learn, to further their knowledge about their favorite animals, to laugh, to have fun, and maybe even tear up a time or two. It has been a pleasure to create month after month, and year after year.
If anyone has any questions or comments about this change for the publication, please contact via phone, email, website, and social media. The digital editions will be available for a very short time for download, so this is the final chance to save any favorite editions.
Regards for the final time -
