SMALL BUSINESSES IN NEVADA GET TIMELY RELIEF
Millions of small businesses in the country have already availed of the COVID-19 relief programs administered by the Small Business Administration. These programs were thoroughly explained by Joseph Amato, Nevada District Director of the Small Business Administration, as he was interviewed by Asian News producer-host, Shannon Yang and her co-hosts My-Lan Bui for Viet-Am TV, Santhana Foster for Thai-Am TV and Rosaline Schorr for Asian News_Chinese. Asian News is the anchor program of ACTV, originally known as Asian Culture TV, a Las Vegas-based TV Network that broadcasts live on FREE TV (over-the-air), streamed live on ROKU and KODI (ACTV LIVE) and ACTVUS.COM (linked to its own ACTV app for smartphones. ACTV programs are also available on demand via ACTV FEATURES in ROKU, AMAZON FIRE TV, WCETV app, YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK.
In that same interview, Mr. Amato expressed his desire for Local TV Networks to provide special assistance to small businesses in the State, by way of free or subsidized TV commercial placements for small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those with little or no advertising budget. Responding to Mr. Amato’s appeal, ACTV’s CEO Carl Magno has accepted the challenge and will provide small businesses, especially those that applied for the EIDL program of SBA, the opportunity to air their TV commercials/infomercials in ACTV free of charge for 60 days, starting May 1st to June 30, 2020. This will give the small businesses in the Vegas Valley the opportunity to tell their customers that they are alive and anxious to open their doors when allowed to do so, Mr. Amato said. And all they must do is to email ACTV a link to their advertising material (whether professionally produced or a video selfie) up to 30 seconds in length). Please Email the material or its link to [email protected], Mr. Magno said. Further, he said, ACTV will be sharing the commercials/ infomercials to ACTV’s millions of viewers in the Country, most of them from Nevada and California.
Launched in January of 2017, ACTV continues to produce Asian-themed programming, like Asian News in English and Mandarin, which incorporates Asian ethnic especially Vietnamese, Thai and Laotians; FIL-AM News; Culture Clash and Lifestyle Asia US. ACTV has expanded its current mainstream programming, which now includes Shannon’s Life with Style, Home Sweet Home with Melody Mojica, VegasVibes with Esmeralda Padilla-Gould, Under The Vegas Sun with Steve Schorr and Music Planet. ACTV is prepping to roll out new programs aimed at the mainstream market.
In the January 2020 report of its Global Content Delivery Network Provider, ACTV had over 6.3 Million “live” viewers on ROKU and other devices. This does not include the 210,000 over-the-air (antenna) households in the Vegas Valley as well as the millions of viewers on Video-on-Demand platforms primarily on Youtube, Facebook, Amazon Fire TV, WCETV, and the ACTV APP for smartphones, which is estimated to be at least 2 times the number of “live” viewers. Same report detailed the locations of the viewers and over 5.1 Million come from the Metropolitan areas of Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
