This year the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at New Mexico State University is celebrating our 60th year! What began in Sept. 1964 as the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication has grown over the years to include award-winning programs in advertising, broadcast journalism, multimedia journalism, photojournalism, and public relations. We'll be highlighting some of our history and outstanding alumni this year, and we would love to hear some of your favorite memories from your time learning the art and science of journalism and media at NMSU. We are thrilled to announce that Noah Apodaca, a student from the Journalism and Media Studies department at New Mexico State University, has been selected by NBC Sports and NBCUniversal for an internship with the Paris 2024 Olympics. Noah will be interning at the NBC Sports Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, where he will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the media coverage of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.
