According to Thompson, the women's friendships strained in Grandview's wake. Since 2018, the Sisters of the Fairway struggled to recapture the joy of their previous outings.

“We have to all heal. We all received trauma from that experience, and we all received trauma for everything that happened after that experience,” she said, her eyes red with tears. “We do need to make a conscious effort to get our group back together in some form or other.”

“This year’s honorees from the School District of Lancaster are Superintendent Keith Miles, district director of schools Camille Hopkins and school board President Robin Goodson. Lancaster County honorees also include Millersville University President Daniel Wubah and Lancaster Mennonite School Superintendent Michael Badriaki. Other honorees are from York and Harrisburg.”

Four Lancaster County educators and a school board president are among those to be recognized April 25 at the Black Excellence Awards Gala in Manheim Township.

Hugo is so cute! Politics are way better with the most adorable mascot in town. 🐶

People might wonder why Hugo is on my sign, well on occasion pets can be more than a family member. Hugo is just that for our family. Without Hugo there would never have been a campaign.
