As I approach my tenth year with FlintLoc, I thought a little reflection was overdue. Back in 2012, I asked an individual for a chance to prove the the new system was much better than the old stand-alone dispenser box. I even agreed to personally “buy it back” if it did not perform as promised. He decided to give us a chance… and the crazy ride began.
Due to COVID, during the last two years I have tried to minimize my travels and even prepare for retirement. The problem with retirement is I still enjoy solving problems, especially in difficult environments. Today, we can provide the most robust, multi-layered, anti-theft solution available anywhere – made, assembled and programmed in the USA.
Security is neither cheap nor easy, which many of our customers and even competitors don't seem to understand the challenge. Having a strong computer background and seeing even bank breaches, we decided to stay away from using the Internet as a platform – too many hackers always trying to breach the system. So we have totally focused our solutions to be "on-site" based, with some network overview controls available. This has kept us continually looking for better components, better installation methods and better training for our customers, to improve our solution.
In closing, we know we have saved our customers hundreds of millions of dollars in stopping fuel theft, not to mention the numerous skimming devices that have been discovered because of our systems.
So, if anyone truly wants to protect consumers, then we are still the best dispenser agnostic system available.
