A fun day at The Sands… Summer on the beach… Because let’s be real—brides and beaches just belong together. ☀️👰🏼‍♀️🌊

I mean, think about it—what’s more iconic than a bride standing in the sand, wind in her veil, looking like she just walked out of a dream? It’s the ultimate vibe. But let’s talk logistics for a second. Because while bride + beach = stunning photos, bride + sand + a 10-foot train? That’s where things get interesting. 😂

So yeah… brides and beaches? Definitely meant to be. Even if the sand finds its way into places it definitely shouldn’t. 😂

What really makes a wedding gallery pop? 📸✨ Sure, family shots are a must (because let's be real, no Jewish wedding is complete without a million family photos! 😂), but when it comes to pure creativity, it’s all about the couple’s portraits. That’s where the magic happens! 💫

This gallery from June at The Atrium was a fun challenge! They recently gave the place a glow-up ✨ with new lighting and design elements, making it way more exciting to shoot. In the summer, you get some solid outdoor options, but this couple took it to the next level—we hit up a nearby bridge 🌉 for some epic nighttime shots, and let’s just say… it delivered. 🔥

There’s a reason it was called the Art Factory Studios—because it truly felt like stepping into a piece of art. 🎨 This old factory had so much history and character, and from a photographic perspective, it was nothing short of magical. Every corner had texture, personality, and charm, making it one of my absolute favorite places to shoot.

Sadly, the venue recently closed its doors, as noted in public news stories. It’s always hard to see such an iconic spot go, but I can only hope someone takes it over and breathes new life into it. Venues like this are rare gems, and the memories created there are unforgettable.

Here’s a throwback to one of my favorite weddings at the Art Factory—a beautiful day filled with incredible vibes, unique backdrops, and the kind of photos that photographers dream about.

So, here’s a little story about life in Lakewood (or, technically, Toms River – big difference, like Monsey vs. Pomona. Don’t mix them up! 😂). When we moved here about 9 years ago, the concept of a steakhouse was nonexistent. If you wanted a good steak, you were heading back to Brooklyn. Fast forward to today, and now there’s a full-blown steakhouse explosion—like five or six legit spots competing for the title of best meat in town.

One of the latest and greatest? The Loft Steakhouse. 🥩🔥 This place not only serves amazing food, but they also have a party room. So, when a client called us and said, ‘Hey, we’re making a bar mitzvah at The Loft ballroom,’ we were like, ‘YES, let’s do this!’ And let me tell you, this bar mitzvah was next-level. Who wouldn’t want to celebrate with a bunch of Loft Steakhouse steaks? I mean, when I was a kid, bar mitzvah food was hot dogs and hamburgers. These kids? They’re out here living the dream. 🥂

And for everyone who keeps asking, ‘Do you shoot bar mitzvahs too?’ YES. Weddings, bar mitzvahs, parties—whatever you’re celebrating, we’ve got you covered. So if you’ve got a kid hitting that magic age of 12 or 13 (hello, puberty 🙃) and you’re planning a party, make sure there’s a steakhouse involved... and call us. 😉

This wedding? Oh man, it was more than a couple years ago—definitely over five—but it’s still one of my all-time favorite winter weddings. ❄️ Most Jewish weddings in the New York City area happen at the same 15-20 venues. You get to know the spots, the staff, the vibes, and let’s be honest—it can feel a little repetitive. But then, every now and then, you get that one call that takes you somewhere totally unexpected, and it’s like hitting the photographer jackpot. 🎰

This wedding started near the water in downtown near Jersey City, then we headed to Liberty State Park for sunset photos with the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop. 🗽✨ Add in a modern, fun couple who knew how to bring it on the dance floor, and it was everything we photographers dream of. Perfect light, incredible energy, and a setting that was just next-level.

I’m still reminiscing about how amazing this day was. It had all the ingredients for a perfect wedding—great vibes, stunning scenery, and memories that are just off the charts. Honestly? Can we get more weddings like this, please?!

Tonight, we light the second candle of Chanukah 🕎, and it reminds me of something so powerful: the idea of growing light. Each night, we add another flame, not just to celebrate a miracle, but to show that in life, we’re meant to keep increasing goodness, holiness, and joy.

It got me thinking about this wedding I photographed back in September. Weddings are kind of like Chanukah candles in a way—their energy, their light, their joy—they grow and spread to everyone around them. The couple starts with one spark, and together they light up a whole room, a whole life.

So, here’s to more light, more love, and more moments that bring warmth to the world. May this Chanukah inspire us all to keep adding light, every single day. 🕯️✨

"I always make the joke: Why is it called Lakewood? Simple – there’s a lake, and there’s wood sticking out of it. 😂 But in all seriousness (if I can even be serious), what’s a Lakewood wedding without a lake? Like, what’s a Miami wedding without a beach? It’s just not the same. Summer in Lakewood has to include some time by the water – it’s basically an unwritten rule. 🌊☀️

You know what’s even better? When the family totally buys into this vibe, and the entire bride’s family picks up and joins us by the lake. Talk about commitment to the aesthetic! And honestly, what gets better than this? Gorgeous day, sunny skies, and vibes that practically jump out of the photos. ✨

Do I sound cheesy when I say this? Probably. Do I sound like some over-the-top ad agency? Definitely. But hey, that’s why it’s called Fakewood. Cough Cough.... Lakewood 😉

I’ll be honest – I love El Caribe. 🙌 If you’re making a Brooklyn wedding and want an actual good outdoor photo option (because let’s face it, Ateres this and Tiferes that are NOT it for outdoor shots 😬), El Caribe is the spot for Kosher weddings. The photos here? Always stunning. And since they revamped the place a few years ago, it’s even cooler now. ✨

This wedding, back in May before the Iyyar break (aka the three-week no-wedding stretch from Rosh Chodesh Iyyar to Lag B’Omer for religious reasons), was one of the last big ones before the pause. It was an absolute blast – amazing couple, beautiful setting, and the kind of photos that just tell the whole story. 💍📸

Chabad weddings. ❤️ Out of all the weddings in the New York area, there’s just something special about Crown Heights weddings. They pretty much always come with an outdoor chuppa at 770, pictures on the parkway, and that classic vibe that’s so uniquely Crown Heights. 🌟 Rain or shine. Snow or fog. Hurricane? Yep, been there, done that. 🌧️💨

There’s a natural beauty and authenticity to these weddings that just never gets old. Every single time, it’s magic in its own way, and I’ll never stop loving it.

Winter weddings are kinda like the underdog of the wedding world. People go crazy for fall leaves, summer sunsets, or spring blooms, so by the time winter rolls around, things slow down... okay, maybe they really slow down. 😅 Let’s face it, not everyone is into freezing temps or skipping outdoor shots.

But here’s the thing – winter weddings are seriously underrated. ❄️ Add a little snow, a lot of love, and some magical vibes, and BOOM, you’ve got yourself photos that are absolutely next-level. This gallery? Pure proof that winter weddings can be just as epic (if not more) than any other season! 🥶✨

Would it be a lie to say some stories are just better in black and white? Sure, color brings out all the details, but there’s something about black and white that hits different. It’s like, BAM – all the feels, none of the distractions. No neon dresses or funky shirt patterns to take away from the moment. 😆 Black and white lets you zoom in on what really matters. Or maybe I'm just rambling here… who knows? 🤷‍♂️ Just my gut talking!

Back at it with the Instagram posts, and wow – after so many amazing summer weddings, my gallery inbox of edited photos from over the holidays is packed with fire shots! 🔥 This is one of those weddings where I could post 10 times and *still* not do it justice. Starting with a few faves here from an absolutely legendary day with an epic couple at The Brighstone – honestly, the weddings there are always next level!

Every time I’m putting a post together, I'm torn between just sharing pics or going full-on with Reels because, let’s face it, Reels get that algorithm love. But let’s be real – pulling together a Reel takes forever, so here we are with the first of many shots that deserve a spot on the feed!
