TV newscasters, politicians, and lots of people who should know better do this. Words of Greek origin such as analysis, crisis, and appendix, form plurals ending in -es (pronounced -eez), but PROCESS is not of Greek origin. This sounds like trying to sound smart ... and failing.

Readability lesson: Don’t put IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS on a 4x4” card included with your product, in minuscule gray letters. Unless you expect your customers to read it through a microscope.

I just read a scholarly article that said, "What this data reveal is dramatic."

Depending on how it's used, *data* is sometimes singular and sometimes plural. But you can't have it both ways in one sentence.

Many recent TV interviews have featured someone trying to sound smart by saying “cause célèbre.” Trouble is, when they pronounce it “kawz sell-a-bray” it destroys the illusion. French is hard to pronounce. If you aren’t sure how it should sound, here are some alternatives:
