I just wanted to pop on here and let my customers especially those who use my VHS to DVD services know that I work third shift. Third shift means that I work overnights, which also means my day is "not over" when I clock out at 7am. The majority of my so called "free time" during the day is spent in bed asleep, which for me is usually around 8-9 in the morning till 4-5 in the afternoon most days so please don't be offended if I don't see your message right away. If something comes up where we have to reschedule a previously made appointment, just message me and let me know your intents of doing that and what day you want to reschedule it and if I don't see it right away just go ahead and plan on us rescheduling our meeting to that day you selected unless I tell you otherwise. Thanks to all my customers for being the best customers a guy could ever ask for and I mean it! Make it a great night! - Jacob

Hello everybody... Jacob Pyle here... I hope you all had an amazing holiday season. I wanted to pop in real quick and answer a few commonly asked questions...

1.) I no longer live in Kokomo... I ended up moving to Noblesville as of March of last year. Don't let that discourage you into not trying out these services. I will continue to serve and deliver to both Howard and Tipton counties as well as Hamilton County and the north Indianapolis area. Give us a try for all of your VHS conversion needs.

2.) I charge either $4 per tape up to 10 tapes, or $30 per case of tapes. The price does include equipment costs (blank DVD discs and cases). I'm willing to work with you on price if the price is too high for your needs.

3.) I currently take regular size VHS tapes as well as the camcorder size tapes. Because of copyright laws, the only tapes I can not accept are store bought VHS tapes of movies. I will immediately turn down the project on the spot. There are many DVD's of your favorite movies that you can borrow for free at your local library or purchase at your local store.

4.) If you do decide to trust me with your tapes, all I ask is please be patient with me while I work on your tapes. I am trying my hardest to make sure your project is done as quick as I possibly can. As far as how long it takes me... It takes me 15-30 minutes plus whatever the length is of the tape per disc. Maximum length of a camcorder tape is one hour. Maximum length of a standard VHS tape is 6 hours. Also, keep in mind I do work a full time 40 hour a week night shift job as well... I go in for 8 hours then I go straight home afterwards and sleep for another 8 hours.

5.) While on the subject of me working third shift... if you do try to message me during the day and you don't get an immediate response from me... again be patient and I will try to respond back to your message as quickly as I can.

I hope that answers all your questions. If you have any more questions that I may have missed feel free to message me either here or on my Pyle of Memories page. Thank you for reading and make it a great day.

I have some exciting news to share. The Pyle Media Ventures office is soon going to have a new home... Pyle Media Ventures is getting a membership through Launch Fishers. As of right now I can only use the space for taping podcasts as well as meeting customers who are either dropping off VHS tapes or are picking up finished product. My VHS to DVD conversion equipment will still be in my home in Noblesville. If you live in Hamilton or Marion counties and would like to arrange for me to pick up your tapes or drop off finished projects, I will be in the Launch Fishers building from 6pm till 9pm Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. I will also be in the Launch Fishers office from 11pm till 7am Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights for Podcast filming. If you live out of county (such as Howard or Tipton counties) I can arrange for pick ups and drop offs on Tuesday afternoons by appointment only. I will not be in the office at all on Saturdays. Finally I just want to say how proud I am to be a part of Launch Fishers. It's going to be a great experience and who knows what the future will hold in store for me.

One thing I'll be doing often on this page is answering questions that I get asked a lot about this service. One question I do get asked often is, what is the difference between a VHS and a DVD? Well, depends on what type of VHS you are talking about. Most standard VHS tapes can carry up to 6 hours on one tape while a DVD can carry just as much. A camcorder sized VHS tape (or VHS-C) which is smaller than an audio cassette and requires a special adapter to play on most VCR's can hold up to anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes per side. As far as closet space, you can store more DVD's in an entertainment center or den, then you can videotapes because of how thin the DVD discs are, while VHS tapes are very thick. Plus unlike VHS tapes (which because of it's design wears out more easily based on usage of the tape and how long you've had it), a DVD lasts longer because of the fact that the player scans the surface of the disc, unlike a VCR which simply reads the tape off of the VHS. Plus, DVD's don't mess up as easily as VHS tapes do! Thanks for reading, keep watching. Contact me if you want more information! 📼
