Digital Storyteller at WBIR in Knoxville

Yes, storyteller is my real job title. I combine written and visual elements for stories that are web-driven and social media friendly. It’s where everyone is looking after all.

My work can be seen across all platforms, ranging from web articles to photo galleries to IGTV features to interactive 360 video experiences. I also co-created and launched Abandoned Places, WBIR’s premiere digital first series.

My passion is using stories to take people on a journey that teaches them about the world and connects them with others.

I previously worked as a freelance writer and photographer for several local media outlets and charitable organizations in Dallas and Oklahoma City. I was also an investigative reporting fellow for the award-winning News21 program out of the Cronkite School of Journalism in at Arizona State University in Phoenix. This News21 project called Troubled Water recently won a Student Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Digital Reporting.
