Just had an incredible morning on the water with Barry and Galan, celebrating their triumph over cancer! Despite the wet and warm July weather, we had an absolute blast fishing. We used up all my shiners, catching a mixed bag of fish that kept us smiling all morning. While we didn't get a chance to target Striped bass due to crowded conditions, we focused on having fun and enjoying the variety of catches. We tossed out shiners and artificial baits, reeling in multiple species, including a trophy-sized Freshwater Drum caught on a FishLab Tackle Bio-Minnow! 🏆 Can't wait to see the trophy certificate for this beauty!

David and his son Steve joined me for my first guest fishing adventure on Tellico lake! Even with the spawn in full swing and sub-par bait being used we were able to boat several nice catfish just before the sun started to bake us! Once the sun was high in the sky the bite stopped, except for a pesky Snapping turtle! Overall it was a great day on the water! As a side note, every single fish pictured is edible! This lakes is one of the only lakes around where smaller catfish can be eaten thanks to the old transformers that were contaminating the lake being removed. Please let me know if you would like to take your own fishing adventure! Last week I have some of the Okuma Fishing USA staff on my boat doing some filming of new gear. The first half of the trip was a very successful "mixed bag" trip mostly using FishLab Tackle baits. We had constant action and these were not the only fish caught! We even caught a large Drum on the FishLab Hydra Glide Bait pictured! What an incredible morning! 🌅 My 3 guests traveled all the way from California and Michigan for a chance to catch some big Flathead Catfish, and they were in for a treat! 🎣 We landed multiple Flatheads, with the first two being trophy-sized! 🏆 We also caught several impressive Blue Catfish and even had a surprise visit from a Striped Bass! 🐟 This was just the first half of our "all day" guided trip, and my clients are having an amazing time.
