Kickin' It With.. Zac Holcomb - Ep. 007 - Andre Barrett - Retired Marine/Law Enforcement

In this episode, we are joined by Andre Barrett! You may know Andre from his time in the military, or as an LEO in Lenoir County!

We bumped into him at H & H Farm Supply over the weekend and couldn't miss the opportunity to get him on the show!

WARNING!! This is not an episode for the faint of heart or those with virgin ears - cursing is turned ON for this one!

Andre is a retired Marine and former Lenoir County Sheriff Deputy and North Carolina State Highway Patrolman. I think I got that right!

Nowadays, Andre is retired and running around all of Lenoir County and looking for ways to make an impact while enjoying himself on the daily!

We chat about fun stuff like the local SPCA rehoming pets, that time a car crashed into 300 North Herritage, Andre's life in the military, being the army man in the set that no one wanted, and so much more! Yes, it is pretty much non-stop laughs in this one!!

We also discuss that little thread in our being that fires us up when we are challenged or told that we cannot do something!

Recent tensions boil over and I go on a good little rant about how dumb it looks when you can't contain your hatred or jealousy for someone!

Ryan walks us through his journey to where he is at today. At age 34, with several thriving businesses and already a career in law enforcement in the rearview, Ryan is definitely working on building an empire!

We discuss his time right out of high school, finding himself and getting his feet on the ground in the landscaping business. Progressing into a career in law enforcement in Eastern North Carolina, before settling back into life in La Grange, NC.

With the town putting together a core group of folks that are pushing things forward, Ryan is one of several young entrepreneurs in the area that are looking to shake things up and make the area better for future generations!
