10:38 a.m. Thursday radar update....a mixture of rain and sleet is moving into the Texas Hill Country Thursday morning. Light sleet has been reported near Mountain Home in Kerr County over the past 30 minutes. Precipitation is spreading northeast at 20 mph. Precipitation will increase in coverage across the Hill Country through 12 p.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect across the Texas Hill Country at 6 a.m. Thursday and continue through 6 a.m. Friday. There is potential for freezing rain and ice development, including Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Llano, Rocksprings, Leakey, Johnson City, Boerne, Comfort, Marble Falls, Junction and Del Rio. Ice accumulation is possible by Thursday morning and the advisory will continue through Friday morning.

The weather situation for Kerrville and the Hill Country remains challenging with a mixture of rain, freezing rain, ice and snow possible late Wednesday night through early Friday morning. Snow, if it occurs, will favor Thursday night after 8 or 9 p.m.

Temperatures tumble through Monday morning with Cold Weather Advisory in effect for all of the Hill Country, beginning at midnight and continuing through Monday morning. Wind chill values between 10 and 15 degrees are expected by daybreak Monday.
