TARGET has started limiting the number of Stanley Cups shoppers can purchase.

On December 31, the retailer released the Stanley Cup Valentine’s Day collection, which includes a two-pack of tumblers, stacking pints, and quencher H2.0 tumblers, and they’ve already proved to be highly sought-after.

The brand-new Stanley Cups are selling out as shoppers are scooping them up

Some buyers are reselling the special Valentines Day colors online for over $100[/caption]

Shoppers who recently walked into Target were met with a note on shelves that read: “All Stanely Cups: limit is 2 per guest.”

The popular cup comes in red or pink, just in time for Valentine’s Day and the retailer is making sure the cups get into the right hands.

Stanley cups are being resold on eBay and Amazon with a hefty price tag.

To put a stop to this, Target decided to limit the amount of cups shoppers can purchase.

One Target employee took to Reddit and revealed the craze behind the new cups.

“There were 15+ people lined up by 7:45 at my store and they were all antsy. And then when we opened I could hear people’s frantic shopping carts from the back of the store.”

“Absolutely insane,” they added.

THE NEW DROP

The new cups have the same basic design that shoppers love but with a couple of new tweaks.

Shoppers get to pick from two colors, red or pink that range from $20 to $45 depending on size.

To make it special for the holiday, the company added a tiny heart right next to the “Y” of Stanley.

The cups come in several different shapes and sizes: 10 ounces, 16 ounces, 30 ounces, and the classic 40 ounces.

However, they won’t last long as customers are running to stores to grab them.

CUP CRAZE

Employees have had to monitor the amount of Stanley Cups as shoppers are buying them in large quantities only to resell them for hundreds more.

One Target employee wrote on Reddit that their store got in about 50 cups and within minutes all were gone.

“We probably had 50 cups put out before open and the minute the store opened people were rushing in to grab them and we even had a SINGLE order with like 20+ cups,” they said.

Fans commenting on the post revealed that resellers post them on eBay for over $100.

Another said: “As someone who deals with scalpers in my hobbies, it was so nice and satisfying to see people who grabbed 4+ have to put them back because we had a limit of one per customer.”

Stanley cups have become popular travel items and a Target shopper recently revealed how she got two Stanley cups for $9.

Plus, last year Aldi was selling a $10 Stanley Cup dupe in 4 different colors.

In a recent earnings call, Kroger revealed it will be “focused on delivering best-in-class fulfillment.”

WHILE Kroger says that it is focused on delivering the best service possible, some shoppers disagree.

In a recent earnings call, Kroger revealed it will be “focused on delivering best-in-class fulfillment.”

Shoppers are not finding Kroger’s pickup service helpful or speedy

The grocer shared with investors and executives that its new two-hour pickup service has contributed to a successful quarter.

Kroger stated that it’s able to become “the online food retailer of choice” by having over one-third of stores use the service.

The pickup service allows shoppers to order online and pick up orders from the store in just hours.

Employees will even bring out your purchases and load them into your car.

Plus, orders over $35 qualify for free pickup.

However, not all shoppers find the service helpful.

One customer took to X slamming the grocer as they found the option not very helpful.

“I just need Kroger to know that gatekeeping the most common purchases for delivery only is about the most annoying thing you can do.”

“Pickup is so helpful but always having to go park and get out of my car to pick up the last two things I need is ANNOYING,” they added.

WHAT IS PICKUP?

Kroger Pickup launched back in 2014 as a convenient way to order groceries online.

Shoppers can select the door-to-door option where store employees load their order directly into their cars.

Customers can use multiple payment options including EBT which are Snap Benefits.

HOW TO USE PICKUP

To use the service, you must sign in to your digital account.

Kroger will then auto select a method for you to receive your groceries.

Just note that you must make sure the option is Pickup and that you click on your local store.

This is done by entering the zip code where you want to get your groceries.

Once your store is selected you can start shopping.

When you’re ready to check out, just click on your cart.

It’s there that you will be asked to schedule your Pickup order by selecting a timeslot.

To learn more about the service, head to the Kroger website.

Kroger customers threaten to boycott store after a stick-on label snafu.

Plus, check out why some shoppers can’t stand the new store design.

The Lecritque brand wool unisex electric heated socks are selling on Amazon for $27.99.

AS the chilling months of winter rage on, Amazon has a wooly clothing piece to fill each step with warmth.

The Lecritque brand wool unisex electric heated socks are selling on Amazon for $27.99.

Amazon is selling heated socks to brace feet through the frigid winter

COLD FEET NO MORE

“Don’t let frozen feet spoil your winter! Our heated socks can keep your feet warm on the coldest winter day,” the listing reads.

According to the product description, these socks are perfect for heating your feet while skiing, fishing, camping, or hiking through nature.

So athletes can get through the frigid conditions of winter sporting activities in a blissful breeze.

There are three temperature settings:

High heat (145 to 150 degrees for four to five hours)

Medium heat (130 to 135 degrees for five to six hours)

Low heat (110 to 115 degrees for six to eight hours)

To ensure longevity, it’s recommended to handwash the toe toaster socks and make sure the battery is removed.

The socks are powered by lithium-ion batteries with built-in wires for all-encompassing heat.

The wool fabric promotes “moisture wicking” and “heat insulation” to provide a “sense of premium comfort.”

DREAMY FIND

From 54 ratings, the product has 4.8 out of five stars.

The reviews praise how comfortable and soft the socks are.

“These heated socks are a winter essential!” one customer raved while recommending the product.

“They warm up quickly, providing consistent adjustable heat. Comfortable and durable, they fit well. Perfect for cold weather activities.”

“They are far cozier than you can imagine,” another buyer wrote.

“Unlike tucking my feet in a blanket, in these socks there are no cold pockets around the contours of my feet and ankles.”

“And when I have to get up for something, the warmth travels with me! It’s a dream!”

Reviewers noted how the socks will serve them well for long nights during camping trips.

“I am sooo [sic] looking forward to wearing this next time I go camping because my feet always get so cold down in the bottom of the sleeping bag.”

Plus, the reviewer wrote the socks fully heated up for them within a minute, which they found to be, “so convenient!”

“And I’m so relieved they’re washable because otherwise, it wouldn’t be sustainable to use them daily.”

The product also makes for a thoughtful — and useful, gift.

“My sister lives in Tahoe so I bought these for her,” one shopper wrote.

“She loves them! One size fits all, but also easy to charge and the warmth keeps coming for hours.”

Of the customers who didn’t deem the socks as five-star worthy, their biggest complaint was battery life.

“They should offer extra batteries for purchase,” a three-star rater suggested.

“The charge only lasted about three to four hours on low setting.”

Walmart sells its handy heater gadget for warming an entire space.

Or splurge for this $85 heater that’s also from Amazon.

The Double Decker Taco made its triumphant return to menus across the nation only to be taken

TACO Bell fans are boycotting the chain after discontinuing their favorite yet again.

The Double Decker Taco made its triumphant return to menus across the nation only to be taken discontinued once more.

The Double Decker was a fan favorite and has been available for a limited time

Fast foodies were able to score the taco for a limited time starting on December 5 for just under $3.

Fans loved the crunchy and soft textures, as the taco featured a bean-filled tortilla wrapped around a taco shell, stuffed with its seasoned beef, lettuce, and shredded cheddar cheese.

However, once the deal was over Taco Bell fans were left wanting more.

One fan took to Instagram and commented on a post from Taco Bell sharing their sadness.

DOUBLE THE DISAPPOINTMENT

The taco chain posted a photo to the Instagram page featuring a cutting board with Taco Bell menu items on it.

The picture was jokingly meant to look like a charcuterie board but with a Taco Bell twist.

While the post was meant to be silly, the joke didn’t seem to land with some customers.

One wrote: “Don’t even talk to me anymore. You are taking away the only thing I loved! The Double Decker. We went so long missing it and to be reunited ONLY to be left again. I will never forgive you.”

Others chimed in agreeing with the fan.

Another customer wrote: “Keep the Double Decker on the menu!! It’s been missed and yall already got everything to make it anyway lol”

One fan asked the chain if it could “Bring back the old Doritos Locos tacos shells.”

MORE TACO BELL NEWS

After announcing the return of its 3-Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt, some customers noticed something fishy about the price.

The flatbread was first tested earlier this year at select locations as part of a menu item revamp.

Fans loved the soft flatbread packed with grilled, marinated all-white-meat chicken, chipotle sauce, and a melted three-cheese blend.

The cheese blend was made with mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey pepper jack.

While the chain revealed the menu item nationwide will be available for $2 on January 11, 2024, not all were pleased.

Taco Bell revealed that prices will vary based on store and state.

One Reddit user posted: Its prices may vary, yet I live in a market that is very much middle America and always pay more than the quoted price in the articles.”

Another griped: “They used to have the chicken flatbreads with their shredded chicken for $1. Pass.”

Fans are calling out McDonald’s for refusing to give Squishmallows in kid’s meals and being forced to wait.

Plus, Taco Bell launched seven new drinks at once – and added new gadget in store that should have Starbucks worried.

Book buyers have until January 14 to say goodbye to an iconic Barnes & Noble location.

The Tribeca Barnes & Noble is closing after its landlord has chosen to redevelop

The Barnes & Noble store in Tribeca is shuttering its doors after 16 years of business.

In an Instagram post on December 29, 2023, the store announced its closure with reason being that its “landlord has chosen to redevelop.”

“We’ve loved being a part of this neighborhood and are choosing everything we can to find a new location,” it read.

The post continued to detail other Barnes & Noble locations across the city that shoppers can still visit.

It listed the Union Square located at 33 East 17th Street, New York, NY, 10003 as well as the Atlantic Avenue store at 194 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11201.

There is also a Barnes & Noble Fifth Avenue location at 555 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10017, one on the Upper East Side at 1500 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10128, and a completely renovated one on the Upper West Side at 2289 Broadway, New York, NY 10024.

The store also added that it hopes to welcome customers back to a new bookstore in Tribeca “just as soon as a suitable location has been found.”

The post’s caption also gave a shoutout to everyone who showed the bookstore love over the years.

“We have so many great memories from events, to meeting authors and making a positive influence in our Tribeca community,” it read.

The post encourages users to follow its Union Square Instagram account () on social media for updates.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Barnes & Noble in a request for comment.

REACTIONS

Followers and fans took to the comment section on the post to express their sadness and share fond memories of the store.

One Instagram user wrote: This store opened when I was 6. I’m 22 now. I grew up learning how to read here.”

Another commented: “My first favorite Barnes & Noble was the Lincoln Square location which closed, and now you my new favorite. You will be sorely missed. Everything about your location.”

Others echoed a similar sentiment with many claiming the store as their longtime, favorite location in the city.

An author added: My daughter and I are devastated! You have been not only our neighborhood bookstore for 13+ years but a wonderful escape and respite for us both. And a very proud stop on my own book launch tour!”

MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

Barnes & Noble relaunched its membership program back in April after suspending it in 2001.

Branded under a new name as the “Premium Membership,” it offers a 10% discount in stores and adds an additional 10% discount to purchases on its website.

For every $10 spent, one stamp is earned while every 10 stamps earn a $5 reward.

Members also get free drink upgrades in B&N Cafes, a yearly free canvas tote, and free standard shipping.

Meanwhile, Costco is making six major changes this year, including hiking up the price of its membership fee.

And find out why customers are angry over the new self-checkout policy at Target.

“Our bathroom has little to no insulation in the outer wall where our shower is located. This bathroom is always so cold in winter and cooler months.

BEGINNERS luck scored one lottery player $150,000.

One lucky Michigan woman won $150,000 playing the Cashword instant game online.

A Michigan woman won $150,000 playing the lottery

The 25-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery that she had never tried online lottery games but decided to try the Cashword.

“After a few plays the amount of $150,000 came up on the screen with fireworks and I instantly started hyperventilating from shock and excitement!”

“I still can’t believe that I won my very first time playing online,” the winner added.

Just note that when playing any lottery game, there are inherent risks.

This means that it’s wise to only buy a ticket if you can afford to do so.

If you or someone you know has signs of gambling addiction, call the National Gambling Hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visit the National Council on Problem Gambling website.

ONLINE PLAY

Michigan Lottery players can win up to $2.1 million by playing online games, according to the state lottery website.

Players can score prizes from $1 up to multimillion-dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online.

Just online, the Lottery has over 200 different games with plays ranging in price from five cents to $50.

WHAT IS CASHWORD?

Cashword is an online lottery game from Michigan where tickets cost anywhere from 25 cents up to $10.

Each Cashword ticket has one Crossword Puzzle and 18 CALL LETTERS.

Scratch the CALL LETTERS to reveal 18 letters.

You then must match the corresponding letters on the Crossword Puzzle by scratching off the matching letter.

In the Crossword Puzzle, every lettered square within an unbroken horizontal or vertical sequence must be matched with a CALL LETTER to be considered a complete “word”.

Words within words are not eligible for a prize.

The entire word must be uncovered to win the corresponding prize.

There are two ways to play, both fairly simple.

The first way is to select the ticket cost and then click “PLAY” to purchase the ticket.

Next, press “REVEAL ALL” to reveal the entire ticket at once.

The second way to play is to click the CALL LETTERS and any matching letters on the Crossword puzzle.

You must then match three or more complete words, and win the corresponding prize in the Prize Legend.

For both options, use the Auto Mark feature to automatically mark your matched Call Letters.

For more information on Michigan Lottery games head to the state lottery website.

A lottery winner took home $1 million and lost it all in eight years.

Plus, a woman turned $20 into a $20,000 lottery win all because of an extra word.

BANKS have been closing a raft of accounts in recent months, sparking criticism from confused clients.

Many have taken to social media to seek advice and vent about the abrupt closures.

Chase has closed several accounts, causing outcry online[/caption]

The stories often involve ordinary clients being suddenly locked out of accounts, leaving them without access to their money.

Sometimes the reason is hard to discern, though other times a breach of terms is the cause.

One client recently sought help on Reddit after Chase closed their accounts.

Their checking, savings, and credit card accounts were all canceled with little warning or explanation.

“I’m completely in disbelieve and frustrated right now,” they said.

THE SHUTDOWN

The ex-client’s Reddit post explains that they had been with Chase for over six years without incident.

However, one possible breach of contract led to the shutdown.

The client had worked as a contractor, and received work payments directly into their personal account.

Many personal bank accounts are required to be separated from business use.

Contractors, who are effectively one-person businesses, may sometimes fail to notice that their work qualifies as business use.

Terms vary widely by account and bank, but many suggested that this was the cause for the bank shutting the ex-client’s account.

Banks typically send a letter explaining the closure, though often people report that those letters never arrive.

“I spoke to someone and they said they can’t find the letter stating the reason for the closure, I would have to wait for the letter to come in the mail,” the ex-client said.

Banks generally reserve the right to cancel a client relationship at any time, with or without explanation.

That has left many scratching their heads when their accounts close.

Financial institutions generally do not comment on individual banking decisions or client complaints.

MORE BANK SHUTDOWNS

While Chase has been implicated in a number of bank account shutdown stories, it’s far from alone.

A UK bank recently was accused of closing an account of a fraud victim.

The victim had unwittingly participated in money laundering, potentially limiting her rights to a refund.

One Bank of America client found their bank account shut without any explanation, as they said they lacked any clear risk factors.

Another bank shut an account after a $100,000 error.

One Huntington Bank client alleged that the institution closed his account because it didn’t like his business.

TRADER Joe’s has changed a skeptical consumer’s mind.

While plastic pollution piles for big-box retailers and major food grocers, a store’s pretty product still sparked one buyer’s attention.

The shopper caved from their Trader Joes boycott after snagging a floral find[/caption]

The shopper used their social media account to admit not being able to resist a particular purchase from Trader Joe’s.

Using X, formerly known as Twitter, the user showed off their latest blossom buy.

“I usually boycott Trader Joe’s for so much plastic packaging,” they wrote in their post.

“But today I stopped in for rice and they had these lovely roses for $9.99. Which also had two layers of plastic. But I caved and they are lovely.”

GARDEN GLAM

Trader Joe’s has a wide selection of floral arrangements to spruce up a homegrown garden or upgrade a house’s interior design.

On the store’s website, customers can order a dozen roses for $9.99.

“Run, don’t walk, to stop and smell these roses!” the product description reads.

So customers can snag a deal on their favorite flowers before Valentine’s Day.

But there’s also a disclaimer.

The company suggests contacting local Trader Joe’s staff using their store finder, since the price or amount of product available is not always fixed.

“The details of this item may have changed due to fluctuating market prices, federal regulations, currency rates, drought, bandits, rush hour traffic, filibusters, zombie apocalypse, [or] punctilious product developers,” according to Trader Joe’s.

Aside from roses, the store offers assorted orchids for $14.99, eucalyptus plants for $3.99, three-stem hydrangeas from Colombia for $5.99, and a large seasonal bouquet for $12.99.

WASTE AWAY

In the past, Trader Joe’s has been criticized for using an unnecessary amount of plastic wrapping on its products, with some saying it’s harmful to the environment.

One activist shot fire at the grocery chain, drawing specific attention to the vegetable aisle.

In a statement to the Mountain View Voice, the 350 Silicon Valley member expressed distain over the store’s packaging practices.

“It is visible stepping into the produce section at Trader Joe’s that there is a particularly egregious amount of single-use plastic packaging for produce,” Luna Wei said.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Trader Joe’s for a comment, asking if they plan to reduce its plastic waste production in the New Year.

Meanwhile, the business hasn’t mentioned anything about a pollution reduction effort in its latest podcast.

But there are some sparkling announcements about its alcohol selection.

Bubbly wine bottles called La Burgondie Crémant de Bourgogne are shipped all the way from France to be packaged in store cases.

While big box retailers suffer boycotts due to inefficient self-checkouts, Trader Joe’s remains loyal to its people.

Stanley Cups from Target are in limited supply, and customers aren’t happy about it.
