Stranger Things' Joe Keery Addresses Rumors About Taylor Swift Collaboration https://ift.tt/3MsGIwU

Joe Keery has seen the fan rumors about him collaborating on music with Taylor Swift.

Keery, 31, offered some context after he was spotted at the same New York City recording studio in June that is often frequented by Swift, 34, during a Thursday, December 21, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“Well, that was a very confusing day because I was just in there minding my own business — not doing anything. Then I walked out the door and it was like 1,000 people were standing out there,” Keery, 31, who records music under the name Djo, said about his visit to Electric Lady Studios.

The actor noted that it didn’t take long for the fans who were waiting for Swift to recognize him, adding, “People looked at me expecting Taylor and were like, ‘Who’s this guy?’ And then I walked down the block, and someone’s like, ‘Oh, that’s that guy!'”

Bringing a role to life. Stranger Things puts a lot of work into making viewers feel like they have been transported to a fictional town in Indiana during the ’80s — which includes transforming their actors into completely different people. The Netflix series, which debuted in 2016, centers around supernatural events that take place in […]

Keery denied that he was working with Swift that day. However, he didn’t exactly rule out the possibility of a collaboration.

“Maybe that would generate something,” he teased on Thursday. “Maybe that experience generated something in the universe, but I don’t know.”

Keery initially produced music under the name Cool Cool Cool before joining psych-rock band Post Animal. From 2014 to 2019, Keery was the guitarist, drummer and vocalist but ultimately parted ways with the band as his acting career picked up. Keery released the first album under his new moniker in 2019 and three years later took part in a summer music festival tour before the drop of his sophomore album.

After six years at Netflix, Stranger Things is getting ready to wrap up its journey with a fifth and final season. Ahead of the show’s highly-anticipated season 4 premiere, creators Matt and Ross Duffer announced that they were going to end the series after one more chapter in Hawkins, Indiana. “Seven years ago, we planned […]

In addition to music, Keery plays fan-favorite character Steve Harrington on Netflix’s Stranger Things. The show, which premiered in 2016, has been responsible for catapulting many of its cast members including Keery, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton to stardom.

Keery is currently preparing to start filming the fifth and final season of the show. Earlier this year, he discussed how difficult it would be to say goodbye to the project.

“I owe my whole career to being on that show and all the opportunities that I had since are because of that show,” he told WWD. “So it’s very convoluted. There’s a sense of relief, there’s a sense of sadness. I guess my goal is to just really soak it up as much as I can while we’re doing it, and not take any of it for granted because it’s been an amazing ride with such great people. And then once it’s done, move forward and try to just hold on to the joy that we had when we were making it.”

Coming to an end. After five seasons on Netflix, Stranger Things will be wrapping up its story — and the cast has plenty of thoughts about saying goodbye. Keery was asked about what fans can expect from the last season during his latest appearance on The Tonight Show. The Fargo star, however, chose to remain tight-lipped about the highly-anticipated conclusion to the final season.

“I have seen a few [scripts]. I don’t think I can say anything, maybe, other than that,” he teased. “We don’t know [whether Steve will get beat up again]. Odds are [yes], I would say.”

Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz haven’t always had success with being faithful in relationships — so now they’ve pivoted to teaching others about not cheating.

During the Thursday, December 21, episode of Sandoval’s “Everybody Loves Tom” podcast, the duo reflected on the year that went down in Vanderpump Rules — and reality TV — history. Sandoval and Schwartz, both 41, had a lengthy but nonsensical chat about affairs before using their experience to appeal to listeners.

“You should give a PSA right now. If you’re unhappy in your relationship [or] if you feel lost or have experienced feelings for a coworker and it’s starting to escalate, don’t do it,” Schwartz said. “Don’t do it. Just sit down and have that very uncomfortable conversation with your partner. Go to therapy, or just say it’s over. Don’t have a f–king affair.”

Sandoval took a different approach by bringing the conversation back around to his own issues.

For a show sparked by a cheating scandal, it shouldn’t be a shock that the cast of Vanderpump Rules isn’t afraid to throw out an infidelity accusation — but not even Andy Cohen could predict that the series would still be delivering jaw-dropping scandals after a decade on air. Fans were introduced to the staff […]

“One thing that really kept me hanging on was the insecurity I had in myself,” he said. “I felt like. ‘Oh, my gosh, I can’t lose this other person because I’ll never get this.’ I had such an insecurity with myself that I felt if I let this go, it will never happen again. You can [find that again]. And banking on that is a much safer bet than staying and doing and living in that.”

After going through numerous cheating scandals in the public eye, Sandoval broke down what led to those decisions.

“You become an addict. You cling on to that fling that you had. That euphoria and that feeling you have when you’re with that person. You start to hide from the reality of the rest of your life. And you just become lost in that,” he continued. “Dude, I look back on that now and I’m like, ‘Holy s–t.’ And Schwartz and other people around me, they saw me and I was f–king fixated and barely present.”

Since Vanderpump Rules premiered on Bravo in 2013, viewers have watched just about every cast member get accused of cheating. In most cases, the accusations were true, and the person owned up to being unfaithful. Kristen Doute admitted in season 2 that she cheated on Sandoval with Jax Taylor, while Schwartz confessed to many indiscretions before — and after — his wedding to ex-wife Katie Maloney.

When viewers were introduced to staff at Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurant during Vanderpump Rules‘ 2013 premiere, it was clear everyone was intertwined in one another’s love lives. From Stassi Schroeder‘s rocky relationship with Jax Taylor, which took a turn when he hooked up with her best friend Kristen Doute, to Peter Madrigal’s casual connections to several […]

The Bravo universe, however, was rocked like never before this year because of a major infidelity scandal. Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules initially teased Schwartz’s surprising hookup with Raquel Leviss as he tried to move on after Katie, 36, filed for divorce, but their fling was soon overshadowed by a different pairing.

Us Weekly confirmed in March that Sandoval and Ariana Madix called it quits on their nearly decade-long relationship because of his affair with Raquel, 29. Most of the Vanderpump Rules cast sided with Ariana, 38, as Schwartz remained the only star still on good terms with Sandoval and Raquel.

After filming season 11 of Vanderpump Rules earlier this year, Sandoval reflected on what he learned from his public scandal.

“I fully f–king regret it. I feel bad about it. I hate that I hurt people. I, for the most part, have been pretty f–king miserable,” he said on his podcast in October. “I don’t ever, ever want to go through what I went through again. I don’t ever want to be responsible or the cause for ever hurting people like that.”

While some things never change, the cast of Vanderpump Rules is used to a shake-up … and a touch-up. Vanderpump Rules was introduced to Bravo viewers during a special episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in January 2013. Season 1 starred Lisa Vanderpump, who was a Beverly Hills Housewife at the time, Stassi […]

Sandoval went on to share what he would have done differently, adding, “I would have gotten out of my relationship [with Ariana], ripped the Band-Aid off and not delayed that whole scenario.”

Schwartz, for his part, owned up to the mistakes earlier this year while addressing his failed marriage to Katie.

“I strayed a few times. There were times I thought the relationship was going to come to an end and I was a sloppy douchebag,” he told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in February. “I don’t think I’ll ever get married again. I’ll fall in love, I just don’t think I’ll ever be married again.”

If Travis Scott starts skipping like a CD during a live concert, it’s because he’s vibing.

Scott, 32, went viral because he played “FE!N,” his song with Pl***oy Carti, 10 times during a Tuesday, December 19, show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Scott has a habit of playing a song repeatedly during shows, so when the father of Kylie Jenner’s kids stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, host Jimmy Fallon asked Scott about it.

“Man, I have the best fans in the world, and I go off the energy they give me,” the “Sicko Mode” rapper, 32, explained during a Thursday, December 21, appearance. “And they were wild that night, and so I just got even wilder.”

He went on to joke that he took the moment as a dare, saying he planned on “going even crazier at Madison Square Garden” for his show later that night.

Scott made good on his word. According to Setlist.FM, he performed “FE!N” a total of 12 times in a row, including once with rapper Sheck Wes, who performed an unreleased verse that did not appear on the final version of the song. The recorded version of “FE!N” clocks in at 3:12, meaning that the audience at MSG was treated to more than 40 minutes of the same song. (Scott also played it two additional times before closing out Thursday’s show with “Telekinesis.”)

While many celeb couples have gone the distance in Hollywood, other romances haven’t stood the test of time. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott sparked an on-again, off-again relationship in 2017, welcoming two children: daughter Stormi and a son, whose name they have yet to reveal, in February 2018 and February 2022, respectively. Us Weekly broke […]

Performing one song 10 times wasn’t the only major event that happened at Scott’s Brooklyn show. While rapping “Mafia,” Scott nearly got taken out by a giant prop. Fan footage of the event showed the musician getting bonked by a head-shaped object that traveled around the stadium while suspended by wires. Scott reacted quickly by jumping to a lower part of the Circus Maximus stage, dodging what could have been a nasty fall.

Both “FE!N” and “Mafia” appear on Scott’s latest album, Utopia. While on The Tonight Show, Scott reflected on how the project netted him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. “I was on tour,” said Scott, “and I was about to go to the venue, and my guy — my partner in everything I do, David — called me, saying, ‘Yo, we’re nominated again for the Grammys.’ I was like, ‘Yes, OK. This time we got to bring it home,’ you know?” Scott added that he “love[s] music and I love the Academy.”

Travis Scott’s 2021 Astroworld Festival left nine attendees dead and more injured after a crowd rushed the stage. While the 29-year-old “Sicko Mode” rapper performed in Houston, Texas, on Friday, November 5, the crowd surged forward and caused a mass accident. “This is a tragic night,” Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said during a news conference […]

Scott told GQ in November that making Utopia, his follow-up to 2018’s Astroworld, was “therapeutic” for him following the tragedy of the 2021 Astroworld Festival. As Scott was performing at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, a crowd surge pushed a mass of people toward the stage. Ten attendees were killed, with more than 100 injured. In June, a grand jury found that there wasn’t enough evidence to criminally charge Scott over the “mass casualty incident.”

Scott still faces multiple civil suits stemming from the incident. In August, Rolling Stone reported that the family of John Hilgert, a 14-year-old boy killed in the tragedy, pulled their lawsuit, making them the third family to settle with Scott.

As networks make decisions about their roster of shows, Us Weekly will continue to track what has been renewed and which projects have been canceled.

As Abbott Elementary‘s second season premiered on ABC, the hit sitcom received an early renewal for season 3. The ABC series — which stars Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti and Sheryl Lee Ralph — explores stories about teachers in a Philadelphia public school.

Meanwhile, CBS delivered a highly-anticipated renewal of its own with Fire Country, a drama show about a former inmate seeking redemption by joining a prison release firefighting program in California.

Fire Country stars Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, Stephanie Arcila, Jules Latimer, Diane Farr and Billy Burke. It was originally renewed for a full-season order before receiving a second season pickup as well.
