What is a Speaker Shootout, You Ask?

Imagine you're shopping for speakers and feeling overwhelmed by all the choices. A speaker shootout is like a taste test, but for speakers!

Here's how it works:

- Multiple speakers: Several different speaker systems are lined up, just like you might have options at an electronics store.

- Level playing field: Everything is set up the same way, like using the same music and keeping the speakers at the same distance. This ensures a fair comparison.

- Listening closely: Our audio engineers carefully listen to each speaker system, paying attention to how clear the music sounds, how strong the bass is, and whether the overall sound is pleasing.

Our volunteers say they LOVE being part of Obliteride’s supportive community and helping out in the way that works for them. It’s a great way to take action, make new friends, and help fuel new advances in research and care!

Is There a Job for Me?
Yes! Volunteering is for everyone. Coworkers, neighbors, families, friends, and more. Work a rest stop, cheer for participants, or hand out water! We have short and long shifts, before and during the event, for all ages and abilities.

Can Volunteers Join a Team?
Yes! Volunteers are welcome to be part of an Obliteride team, joining riders, walkers, runners, and virtual participants for even more fun and fundraising. Once you register for a volunteer shift, you will receive information on how to join a team.
