The Institute for Nonprofit News' NewsMatch grant program ends tonight! Ring in 2024 knowing you have given your generous support to nonprofit hyper-local news. We are so close to reaching our goal of getting all of the $15,000 offered during this matching program. We don't want to leave anything on the table!

There's more grant money available for us IF we raise the last $1,500 to meet the NewsMatch grant limit of $15,000 by Dec. 31. Join your Kent neighbors and friends from 9 states (and 2 countries!) by helping us maximize the matching funds available.

YOU did it! We put out the call for new donors; Good Times Dispatch supporters in Kent and beyond answered. Donors hail from nine states... and Spain!

In November and December, we gained 56 new donors which unlocked a $500 bonus from our grant partners at NewsMatch. Together, new, early, and recurring supporters have helped raise over $10,500 in November and December to make the GTD sustainable.

We are on our way to maximizing the matching funds (now up to $15,000!) offered by the Institute for Nonprofit News' NewsMatch grant. A local donor is providing a Community Match, which means your money will be tripled when you give before the end of the year.

Kent News, Inc., is on its way to raising $39,000 plus bonuses during the Institute for Nonprofit News NewsMatch program to help grow The Kent Good Times Dispatch.

We're past the halfway mark, and need to raise just under $5,500 in the next 3 weeks.

The first $1,000 of every donation will be tripled, thanks to NewsMatch and a generous local donor. Every gift helps us reach the $13,000 maximum match!

We have one month left of the grant program and don't want to leave anything on the table. All donations made before the end of December count toward our goal.

Our goal is to max out the bonuses and matching funds from INN's NewsMatch! This grant runs through the end of December and along with a local donor's Community Match, will triple the first $1,000 of donations, up to $13,000. A total of $39,000 + bonuses would be HUGE for our little local paper. Even giving $10 (once, or monthly if you can) gets us closer to unlocking the extra bonus for 100 new donors.

Did you know? The Kent Good Times Dispatch is published by Kent News, Inc., a nonprofit organization formed by Kent, CT, residents, in order to bring hyper-local news back to our community. Kent News, Inc., is run by an all-volunteer board of directors. Our part-time editor is volunteering an additional significant amount of hours each week to bring you the news you need!

As a nonprofit corporation, Kent News, Inc., has qualified for an Institute for Nonprofit News NewsMatch grant. Though Dec. 31, INN will match the first $1,000 dollars of any donation up to a maximum match of $13,000.

We have also secured a $13,000 “Community Match” from a local donor, which means your donation is now tripled, AND we unlocked a $2,000 bonus from INN for having a Community Match partner! You can find more information about this grant at newsmatch.inn.org.

Help us unlock the next bonus by becoming a donor today! If we can get 100 new donors, INN will give us yet another bonus! Additionally, for new monthly contributions, INN will match the whole year of donations, not just November and December. That's right, $10/month will become $360 this year!
