Willett Alan Hahn passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. He will be greatly missed by every one who loved him. He was a humble, sarcastic, witty, hilarious lover of music, film, comedy and above all else, family.

He was my hero... quite often literally a savior. My humor, my guitar playing, my love of music, my deep connection to film and television... all came from him. He supported me as an individual and as an artist. He taught me, by example, how to be a man, a good friend, a loving husband, and a damn good father.

Your legacy is one of pure kindness, love, and dedication. I will miss you every day until I get to see you again and hear you say, "Hello there," once more.

Willett Alan Hahn

Family Archive

Thirty years separate my father and I. We were close when I was growing up, but I never took the time to get to know him as anything other than ‘Dad’. Now, as a father, I find myself with questions and curiosities. What would he do in my situation? What was it like when he was growing up? Did I mis-remember this story or that story? The podcast was an excuse to make time to sit down with my dad and connect - to expand our relationship and to hear the stories that I never heard and hear again the stories that I love. Do you need a podcast to connect with a loved one? No. But when you’re an audio engineer, you might as well record it as a family archive.
