Years ago, even before Arizona SB1070, here in Texas, there was an effort to change certain laws forwarded by political operatives of anti-immigration and population control John Tanton Network to make it possible for state and local immigration enforcement which was, at the time patently unconstitutional. The plan was to change the misdeamenor offence of "Driving without License" from Class C, a non-instanterable offense, to Class B which is instanterable. This was designed to DIRECTLY TARGET thise who might be illegal immigrants or anyone looking like one, like me or you, and incarcerate them so as to ensure they could be inspected by immigration authorities. It failed. DeSantis is now pushing that extreme agenda and also that of the Evangelicals who abandoned their pro-immigration platform in favor of their Christian Nationalist agenda. TOLD YA.
