Created in 2011, Santa's Cajun Christmas has given many less fortunate children of Vermilion Parish a holiday experience they may never forget. Every year, as the holidays approach, families around our community gather together to celebrate with festive decorations, feasts and an exchange of gifts. What’s very easy to forget during these times of feasting and celebrating is the fact that there ar

e so many families in our community that are struggling just to put food on the table for their kids. Holiday gifts and elaborate parties are not in the picture for them. Santa's Cajun Christmas is sending out invitations to these families. All Vermilion Parish elementary schools will participate. Each school will be allowed to send a specified number of children to the event. Each child is carefully screened and will receive an invitation to attend Santa's workshop. Clause, along with the help of their elves, will give each child a gift from their wish list. With the help of your monetary donation, we will purchase the gift(s) from a wish list each child has written to Santa. The funds will also help supply the necessary provisions to make this event happen. The event will take place in Dec at Rene Rost Middle School gym in Kaplan, La. Exact date will be given at a later time. Print & television media will be invited to this amazing event. Please mail donations to: Santa's Cajun Christmas
