Virtual learning day at Liberty Public Schools tomorrow ๐Ÿ“Œ

LPS Community,
Due to the inclement winter weather conditions, Liberty Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 19, 2025. We have determined that we can hold one more Virtual Learning from Home day before needing to make up time in the 2024-2025 academic calendar. Therefore, Wednesday will be designated as a Virtual Learning from Home day. If any additional inclement weather days are needed beyond Wednesday, these days would be traditional snow days and be made up later this school year.

Below are a few additional reminders:

*Families/students will receive an email from your teacher or school either later today or Wednesday morning. Our Early Childhood Center and elementary families will receive an email by 8:30 a.m., while all secondary students will receive an update by 8 a.m. In addition, THRIVE Boards have been made available for the different grade levels, and these can be accessed by clicking here. These have been developed in an effort to allow for additional virtual learning opportunities for students.

*Our LPS school-age care program (Kid's Zone) will be open and available at Liberty Oaks Elementary from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for children currently enrolled in this program. Please note that children will need to be signed in by 9 a.m.

*For any additional inclement weather cancellation information regarding other LPS events and activities, you are encouraged to visit the district website at www.lps53.org, or stay connected to our social media platforms at both the district and building levels.
As always, thank you for your patience and flexibility as we have navigated the recent inclement weather conditions. Stay tuned for any further updates regarding inclement winter weather this week.

Snow โ„๏ธ day at Park Hill School District tomorrow!

Snow โ„๏ธ day at Park Hill School District tomorrow!

Due to snowy roads and extreme wind chills, the Park Hill School District will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 19, for a traditional snow day. Since weโ€™ve already used all five of our Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days, this will be a traditional snow day, meaning we will not have school.

We will make decisions about the last day of school as we get clear of winter weather. Please know we are looking at several options for this โ€“ and we are also reviewing any potential guidance from the state as to how days can be made up.

Note that both Adventure Club and Gerner tuition preschool will be open.

See our webpage for more information: www.parkhill.k12.mo.us/families/ami-days-snow-days-and-late-starts
