Sourced from the 'Zoo is a community-wide exhibition celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of Kalamazoo and its residents. This dynamic, crowdsourced exhibition is a platform for everyone in Kalamazoo to participate, creating a shared space for commemoration, celebration, and meaningful connections. The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and partner organizations throughout the city invite community members to submit pieces and objects that are treasured parts of their daily lives, family history, or personal keepsakes. Submissions are due February 2, 2025 and multiple submissions per person are allowed.

All members of the community are invited to participate in this incredibly unique showcase. Works do not have to be art that was created by the person submitting them. Objects and artworks should explore regional and personal histories that spark curiosity and joy. Learn more and submit via the KIA's website at kiarts.org/sftz/!
