🌟🌿 Amber 🌿🌟
While technically not a crystal, amber is an ancient treasure that has enchanted people for centuries!
Amber, or fossilized tree resin, was formed millions of years ago! Sap from trees seeps out and hardens, eventually becoming amber by polymerization.
Over time, the resin traps and preserves everything from prehistoric insects to air bubbles- making it not only a beautiful fossil, but also a window into the past! 💫
There are several types of amber, including:
- 🌟Baltic Amber: The best known type, with golden hues, found in the Baltic region. Considered one of the highest quality available.
- 🍯 Cognac Amber: Deep reddish-brown or honey like color (similar to cognac liquor), largely found on the Baltic coastline
- 🌸 Flower Amber: Rare variety, with inclusions of preserved plant material-such as seeds, flowers, and leaves.
- 🌈 Multicolor Amber: Features various vibrant colors, including green, red, and blue tones. Typically caused by organic compounds during formation
- 🪨 Raw Amber: Natural, unpolished form
- 🌎 Dominican Amber: Often blue or clear, with plant or animal inclusions.
Metaphysical Properties: Believed to have strong healing and purification properties. Use for energy balance, cleansing, and to draw out pain.
💡Fun Fact: Amber glows under UV light! 💡
