🌧️ First I’d like to thank for highlighting the compilation and my quote about the song. I’ve had my name in massive websites as I advocate for behind the scenes entertainment workers, but each time my creative work is centered is a blessing.

📝 Second, I’d like to thank Bring the Drop for inclusion on their “Dubstep on The Rise” playlist. I love the vibe on this playlist — not too sleepy, not too aggressive, right in the pocket where I tried to make forest gate seven sit. Worth a check if you like artists like and similar artists!

Throughout this musical journey, I’ve tried a few names. Mugic, Earloeb, Voodoo Weekend. Any real OG’s remember LO3B circa 2011????

Names have power. All along I’ve been making this music, but overbranding it felt like the path towards an identity crisis each time I tried. The names got better as I got older, but none of them actually felt like ME.

I wanted to stand for something — advocate for unbridled self expression, and whatever form that expression takes is not for me to judge.

Using my real name for this project is a creative risk. There’s other famous jonas’es, you have to remember two names instead of one, it could affect my career, yadda yadda yadda. It doesn’t make sense, but neither does being an artist.

I’ll be me until the day that I die, there is no changing that. And there’s no better way to stand by your creative works, in my view, than to sign them in truth.

New mix for ya! Just put out my live dj set at vernissage from halloween on ye old sound o cloud. I’m proud of how it came out. It wasn’t perfect. It was fun. That’s the point.

I loved getting to bring the energy up and go through some of my older releases from 6-7 years ago and blend them with my more recent work. But even moreso the mix imbues a cohesive message, but I’ll leave that to you to discover what that is. Enjoy!

Been trying to hit these charts for over a decade. Thanks to YOUR support today was finally the day.

As a release, the Dark Arts EP debuted at #11 on the 140 / Deep Dubstep Charts, #19 on Trap / Wave, 30 on breaks, and 28 on Dubstep. Even accidentally made the downtempo charts (more on that later). Opening track "Streets" even cracked the top Trap / Wave top 100 at #88. And this is only day 1!

BEHOLD! I'm releasing an 8-track "Dark Arts" EP on Friday October 27.

I couldn’t be more excited about this. It's only 1 week from today. I’ve been holding onto a lot of these songs way too long. I’m excited for you to have them. I’m excited to get them off my chest. The entire EP is an exercise in something old can become new again.

I got into this because I liked music that made me feel when I listened to it took me somewhere else as escapism. It didn’t make me think about the day-to-day. It’s just music to sit there and dissociate to.

Today’s the big day! MY REMIX of Airplane Mode by Kevin Hill Shaan Greenberg and Erin Schott IS OUT NOW!!!!!

It’s funny — the message behind the lyrics of the original are about being ghosted, but as any good remixer should, I flipped this on its head a bit.

As someone who has been chronically online for several years, I also thought of all the recent efforts in my life to reduce my screen time as much as possible — even occasionally at the expense of my treasured relationships.

To me, this song has a secondary message about the importance of setting boundaries, not only in relationships but also with the technology that helps facilitate them today.

The "where'd you go" lyric really resonated with me. Every year there are times I disappear into my work and if I'm not vigilant, I don't even realize it.

There's a time and place for space, but having someone else call out if you're taking too much is a blessing and a curse.

I immediately felt this vibe when I first heard the original, so in remixing it I set out to evoke this specific and contradictory emotion using fast-paced percussion and weighty bass sounds. When combined with the beautiful vocal, in my opinion the result is lush, almost buttery.

My music/audio work is what prompted me to begin learning social media in the first place. The music fuels the comms fuels the music fuels the comms...

So I originally had the idea to line up fun events, music releases, DJ sets, etc with astronomical events almost FOUR YEARS AGO.

Then the pandemic caused an unprecedented complete shutdown of the entertainment industry, and all of my musical plans went on hold.

I did what I could to help through IATSE but deeply regretted not being in a position to do more good for others through my music.

With this week's announcement about livestreams every full moon — my hope is that eventually these will escalate to the point where we can raise real money for worthy causes to help people who need it. Places like the Entertainment Community Fund.

I'm so excited to be taking a step towards that vision on Thursday April 6th's full pink moon, and I'd be humbled to have you join me! 🙏
