R.I.P. Russell Hunter of The Deviants/Pink Fairies

Sorry to be a holiday downer, but we lost another great last week on December 19th. Russell Hunter passed away at the age on 76. It’s no secret how much we love The Pink Fairies here on Hard Stuff, so tonight’s show will be in celebration and in tribute to Russell.

I’m still in Spain, so this week we have Chris Crash filling in for Hard Stuff. He’ll be bringing you “Aku No Hard Stuff”; 60 minutes of diamond-hard rockers from Asia. Featuring Carmen Maki, The Mods, and Sheena & The Rokkets. I must admit that I don’t know too much about the Asian hard rock scene beyond the obvious bands, so I’m really looking forward to hearing what Chris will be bring us this evening as only he can!

Also, the WFMU October Hellraiser concluded last week and I’m happy to say that we met our goal! Thank you to everyone who contributed. It is greatly appreciated by me and the entire staff at WFMU!

I hope to be back with you next week with a brand new edition of Hard Stuff, but only time will tell. Fingers crossed! 🤞
