Assistant Chief J.D. Stronko held a news briefing this evening. He spoke about a shooting in the 5500 block of Shady Pine Street South involving a child. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased by medical personnel. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is investigating.
Sheriff T.K. Waters held a news briefing today to discuss a long term investigation into a criminal group of individuals.
These suspects were involved in a criminal enterprise including the sale of illegal narcotics, firearms, suppressors and switches allowing firearms to be made fully automatic. These individuals were also found to be involved in numerous felony crimes to include Murder, Manslaughter, PFCF, And the manufacturing and delivery of Meth, Cocaine and Fentanyl.

Just after 6:20 p.m. this evening, police received a call of someone shot in the 5700 block of Moncrief Road West and immediately responded to the area to find a red SUV that had damage as a result of multiple gun shots.
Inside the vehicle during the shooting, were five victims ranging from 11 to 20 years old. Two of these were not injured during the shooting, while three of the victims in the vehicle sustained serious injuries to include a 13 y

Jacksonville ,Florida Brian Kee, Chief of Investigations, held a news conference today in reference the most recent Officer Involved Shooting in the 2300 block of Grunthal Street. Chief Kee described the incident that left an armed suspect deceased following a lengthy stand off.
JSO Cold Case detectives as well as the State Attorney’s Office responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
