Enough
What inspired me to start creating again was acknowledging my flaws and turning it into art. I want to normalize mental health and that its okay. It’s hard sometimes to describe a certain feeling, so I’m trying my best. We all have our own trauma and think that we’re alone but we’re not. Let us share and overcome together.

26 was a year of healing. 😊
It taught me to let go of things that I can’t control. I was able to mentally close some of the tabs in my mind lol and be at peace with it. It’s not our fault for the trauma that we went through but it is our responsibility to chose how to heal. & Healing has no timeline. I am proud of my growth because 19 year old me was a people pleaser.
Cheers to 27! It’s time to thrive. ❤️🥂

Brokenness
I think everyone is a little broken inside. Whether it was cause by trauma, losing a loved one, a break up, or being mistreated….we’re no longer the same person that we once were. Nothing really fills that emptiness inside. We somehow create our own coping mechanisms in order to survive & move on with life.
I was 17 years old when my father passed. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I’ve never questioned God’s will but I did become numbed that night. No matter what anyone said or tried to comfort, it didn’t fill the void. For the longest, my brain locked the grief out. I would smile on the outside & pretend that I was okay.
It took me a while to allow myself to process the grief. I didn’t turn to alcohol or drugs but I did make a few mistakes in life which brought me shame and guilt. Many times I felt worthless and had no purpose in life. I honestly wouldn’t have made it through without my faith. I knew God had forgiven me but I never forgave myself. One night I realized I had to make a decision. I could continue to let my mistakes hold me down or I can forgive myself and move on to do better. As a 26 year old, I’m still reopening these locked tabs in my mind and learning to heal. 🫶🏽

Be easy on yourself. Your mistakes are apart of your history, embrace it. It no longer defines who you are but who you have become. Forgive your younger self.🤍

I was criticizing myself how bad this look turned out. The lines weren’t perfect, it looks a little weird. But hey, progress over perfection. Dear future me, when you look back at this photo just know that you tried & you’ll get better. ♥️
