From - Record store day gonna be big this year.
Going into year 7 we came a long way from not getting accreditation those first years. reached out and wanted to help tell our stories and support black owned record stores across the country.

Vans and are also releasing two albums: Songs for You, Vols. 1 & 2. The limited-edition vinyl releases will be available to purchase at independent record stores on Record Store Day 2021 (June 12th). As a salute to the community power of Black-owned businesses, Vans and Record Store Day will reinvest proceeds from the albums into Black-owned record stores across the United States.

The 601 Geek Duo

Known as one of Jackson’s best DJs, Venom took his passion for music and comics and created a special and alternative culture in the Midtown community. This community became a place for nerds, geeks and the unique to call home. Rae’s love for anime and superheroes came from watching anime and movies on Saturdays as a kid with her older brothers. Now she’s an Otaku for life! It was only a matter of time that these two blerds would cross paths.

Then one day an idea was suggested. What would happen if a Jxn Ju Dj with a love for vinyl and a cosplaying Otaku attorney decided to team up and nerd out? The result was the formation of the Geeked Up podcast and so far it’s been an entertaining and dope journey for the geek duo so far. Geeked Up is more than just a podcast, but an experience that Rae and Venom hope to share with fellow geeks everywhere.

This is our story so far and we’re GEEKED to see where it takes us. So stay tuned!
