In the summer of 2018, I decided to dedicate a portion of my weekends creating art. I’ve always enjoyed “creating” and discovering ways to express creativity and realized it was time to gather my art supplies and get some paint on my hands. Experimenting with fluid acrylics and resin art quickly turned into a favorite weekend activity with my grandkids and provided some “me” time around the hectic schedule of a full time sales management career. In late November of 2019, I painted my first acrylic abstract for my daughter’s home. I’ve been “hooked” ever since! With the encouragement of friends and family, I’ve decided to offer my art to purchase online. Message me for pricing, if you are interested.
My story: I love beautiful things and have always been inspired by color and design. I grew up around my mother’s art and her unique style for interior design. She was a self-taught painter using a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics, and water-colors. Mom was known to paint anything and everything, and once she even painted a pair of shoes! Her impressionistic style and use of vibrant color was a joyful expression of her love for life, for people, and the beautiful places around the world that she and my dad visited. While I’ll always aspire to my mom’s level of artistry, I’m tickled when I see her influence appear in my own artwork. I’m so grateful to have been touched by her graceful expression of art, but mostly by her example of living a godly life. I hope my art will bring joy and inspiration to others the way my mom’s life and artwork did for me.
