It was this very day last year that I began the journey of writing and singing my way into new hope. And it feels like this album is a quantum leap with all kinds of new possibilities. My first single is coming out next week called Hope Revival and I feel it in my bones. We all DO need a little hope. I'm so grateful that I got to visit my wild, holy homeland near Jackson. TN exactly 12 months ago and sit across from the legendary Wes Henley at Highland House Productions to dig into my roots and start this journey. It reminded me of my fire. We need each other to find our light. ❤️🧡 now let's rock some hope. Release Date 10/27.

WES HENLEY ON FEB. 21 CONCERT FOR A FRIEND 1-29-19

Legendary musician and audio technician Wes Henley performed on more than 60 telethons for the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and the West Tennessee Cerebral Palsy Association.

During those years, Wes led a successful Concert for a Friend series. After a hiatus of several years, Henley is reviving the project with a Feb. 21 Concert for a Friend to honor well-known guitarist and music teacher Charley Baker.

The event, scheduled for the Hamilton Performing Arts Center at the University of Memphis Lambuth will feature a variety of local and regional artists.

In this West Tennessee Today feature interview, Henley discusses what Baker means to the community and what people can expect at the Feb. 21 concert.
