It's Hard to Know Who or What to Believe These Days

St. Patrick’s Day 🍀 is upon us. All across America, people will put on their green, pick up a Shillelagh, march in parades, claim to be Irish, even kiss the blarney stone.

But how many of them know that St. Patrick never wore green, didn’t parade around, likely never heard of a Shillelagh (it’s a walking stick), wasn’t Irish, probably didn’t kiss any kind of stone and wasn’t even named Patrick.

In truth, he was born in 385AD to Roman parents in England. His given name was Maewyn Succat. So maybe we should be celebrating “St. Maewyn’s Day” each March 17th?

Video Production in 2025: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence Will Be A Real Intelligent Strategy



At Beard Boy Productions, we're writers/producers. So, we’d like to brush aside AI’s intrusion into our professional world as a curious, if not worrisome, fad.



But as someone who’s managed to survive (and at times thrive) through the technological evolution of analog to digital, SD to HD, and AR to VR and beyond, it’s clear to us that the time has come for all of us to get real about how to use artificial intelligence in video production.



Let's count three of the ways that can happen in 2025:



1. AI is Growing in Leaps With No Bounds



It started with generating scripts, now apps like SORA can churn out photoreal images that stretch the imagination. AI-generated commercials, even movies, are in the queue. No, it doesn’t mean human intervention—to guide the AI creative and production process—is no longer needed. What it does mean is that certain content can now be created for less cost more quickly.



2. Buying Via Video



They're called AI “shoppable videos.” And they’re set to cash in big in 2025. The concept is simple: You see a product in a video, then you click on it and buy it—right in the same app. This offers viewers real-time purchase capability while providing brands with on-the-fly analytics and conversions.



3. Virtual Becomes Practical



Virtual reality is leading a revolution in how video is produced and distributed. The key word is immersive, with VR giving the audience an opportunity to experience products in an immediate, clear and detailed way. Traditional cameras, monitors, shooting styles and editing techniques are set to give way to each viewer having the featured product virtually in their hands and/or home, thereby stimulating purchases in powerful new ways.

A Futuristic Way Forward
