~Meet DJ SHaKE!!~

Joe Cortez IV grew up in San Antonio, TX where he began building his music career at the young age of 12.
From 2004-2014 Joe toured all over the US with multiple Texas artists playing drums & recording many popular albums and singles.

In 2014, After a solid 10 year run, Joe retired from touring to be more present for his kids. At this point in his life he began to build a buisness in the health and wellness industry where he has coached and attended multiple motivational speaking events. This is also around the time he initially became known as the “shake guy.”

In the Fall of 2022 Joe started assisting with weddings and events with his good friend, Emily Collier of Emily Events. He quickly began networking with several DJs who have become great friends and mentors. In the Winter of 2023 Joe built his business model for Joe Co Productions. He began booking DJ events and picked up gigs to cover for fellow mentors and friends. All while building a solid name in the industry with professional qualities including great equipment, entertaining music mixes and most importantly impeccable communication.

Joe’s been blessed to work several weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties and recently DJ/MC the 4th of July Celebration in Holiday, Texas.

The package & title of “DJ” may be new however, with 20 years experience in producing music and public speaking, Joe is far from green & looks forward to entertaining & collaborating with new and old friends to make their dream events come to life.
