Congratulations to the winners of our 2025 Chapbook Contest in Art — La Della Gallagher, Kenna Wolbers, Sarah Morgan, Samantha Burd, Justine Raney, Hannah Versch, and Caroline Börk! 🎉 The art team was looking for for art that explores the feeling of Deja Vu, hoping to capture the liminality of that which feels familiar and yet slightly off, and/or depictions of uncanny nostalgia.
** A preference was placed on art forms other than photography because of the abundance of photography in earthwords Issue 45.

Keep an eye out for the publication of these fantastic artists’ work coming in APRIL 👀

- “Second Life” by La Della Gallagher
- “Recall” & “OK Nation” by Kenna Wolbers
- “Capture” & “Stable Song” by Sarah Morgan
- “I Slept Too Long” & “Orpheus by a River” by Samantha Burd
- “I hope that history remembers us as lovers” by Justine Raney
- “Monet’s Beach” by Hannah Versch
- “Heart” by Caroline Börk
