Fished the third BFL event of the year in the Great Lake Division on Saturday and ended up finishing tied for 15th. Dad and I hopped in a small club tournament on Sugema last weekend and put the hammer on em! Brought in 5 for 18 pounds, but little did we know that it was a 5 fish “Each” tournament which kept us from taking home the W. Still ended up in 3rd and only lost by about 3 pounds. Either way, always fun getting out with pops and pulling bigs out of the brush with our Attax rods!

That’s a wrap for the 2022 Iowa BASS Nation State tournament! I bounced back after being in 40th place with 5.09lbs after day 1 to weighing in 16.28lbs on day 2 and 13.44lbs on day 3 to finish in 18th! I ended up about 4.7lbs short of qualifying for regionals making that terrible first day sting a little bit. All in all, it’s a win for me after making adjustments and figuring them out! Hopefully I can carry that momentum into next weekend for the second Great Lakes Division BFL tournament in La Crosse, Wisconsin!

Well, it’s been a long and stressful season but it’s not over just yet! We have officially qualified for the BFL Regional on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas next week! Even though I was one of, if not the last guy in, I couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity and hope to end this year on a high note! Pops and I got in a local tournament over the weekend on Pool 19 for Father’s Day and ended up weighing in around 11.5lbs! We fell about 3 pounds short of the top spot, just couldn’t get that kicker bite but it’s always a blast fishing with the old man!

Just wrapped up the Iowa BASS Nation State tournament out of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin on the Mississippi River this past week and boy was an eventful one. Couldn’t quite put it together the first couple days but ended up weighing in 12.47lbs on Day 3 and moved up to finish in 28th. Had a great week catching fish and even had a few 4 pounders including the 4.57 shown in the first picture. But, even though the fishing was fun this week, it all took a turn at the end of day 3. Ran through some very rough water and ended up with a cracked transom which left me taking on water in the boat and unable to make it all the way back to weigh in but I was able to get it to a ramp close and tie it up to keep it from sinking. I want to give a huge thanks and congratulations to Dan Mohn for winning the tournament and also picking me up to take me back to launch and weigh my fish in and get my truck. I also want to give an even bigger thanks to Jamie from J-Man's Minn Kota Sales and Servicefor dropping what he was doing and spending 4 hours with me trying to get the water out of the boat and getting it on the trailer. He’s spent countless hours helping me get my electronics right in my boat and I can’t thank him enough for coming to help, without him I’m not sure if I would have been able to get the boat safely out of the water. If everyone could do me a favor and go like J-Man’s Minn Kota Repair on Facebook I would really appreciate it. And if your ever looking to have electronics work done on your boat or are looking to order anything Minn Kota or Humminbird related, give him a call and let him know I sent you. With him, you’re not only getting good service, but it’s being done by genuinely good people who are there for you when you need them. All in all, I’m just glad I was able to get the boat off of the water and get it home safe. It’s only up from here!

Pops and I decided to hop in a small club tournament this weekend on Lake Showme in Missouri and ended up catching enough to win and get our first tournament win ever! Weighed in 12.37 lbs barely beating the second place team who weighed in 12.36 lbs 😳 might be an interesting story in the YouTube video later on about another team that may or may not have been too fond of the boat wrap and a little unhappy with the outcome at the end of the day 😅

By the way, the La Crosse BFL tournament video will hopefully be up this week, the Showme Tournament win hopefully next week, and then a video in 2 weeks that I filmed fishing with my girlfriend who put the hammer on em Sunday! Stay tuned!

Well, ended up finishing 78th out 150 boats this past weekend in the BFL on the Mississippi River. I found em in practice and had the bites during the tournament but they just got really finicky with the drop in water temperature and wouldn’t commit to eating. I did manage to get these two in the picture that weighed 6 lbs 4 oz combined. Even though it was a disappointing tournament I was glad to have those two fish and gain some points for the end of the year. Now it’s on to the next one! B.A.S.S. Nation State tournament first week of May and then the second BFL on the Wolf River Chain in June!

Hey everyone, I am beginning to prepare for the 2021 fishing season and have available advertising space available on my boat wrap I will be putting on next year. I will be competing in the FLW BFL tournaments as a boater in the Great Lakes Division as well as competing in the FLW College National Championship in March. So far, I am planning on going to a minimum of 7 tournaments throughout next year with a high possibility of adding more to my schedule. By taking advantage of advertising space on a boat wrap, that wrap is going to be seen by about an average of 101 people per mile driven. With a minimum of 7 tournaments next year, I will be traveling with my boat at least of 3600 miles meaning that my boat wrap will be seen by roughly 362,000 people throughout the year at minimum. Talk about a quality product! The Lure Lock Lure Locker plays an essential roll in my tackle storage! They come in three sizes; small, medium, and large, and you can even purchase them to come loaded with 5 tackle boxes with TakLogic Technology! They make it easy to store and transport storage but my favorite way to use the Lure Locker (as seen in the second picture) is to make it into a filing system in my boat’s storage lockers! It allows me to be more efficient with my storage space since I have an older boat that doesn’t come with designated tackle storage!

What kind of things do you guys do to be more efficient with your storage?
