Have you seen LeRoy's new mural? Artist Jim Stuckey completed the mural on Monday.

It's located in downtown LeRoy on the north side of the historic Brownfield’s Grocery building, which Jeff Freeman is restoring.

The city of LeRoy received a $3,000 grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce Office of Rural Prosperity. Director Trisha Purdon said the purpose of these grants is to allow rural communities to show their history and culture and bring them together to share it.

🚨KANSAS AMBER ALERT - PLEASE SHARE🚨
A has been issued on behalf of the Wichita Police Department for an abducted 5-year-old boy, Trevawn Strong, Jr.

The suspect is Trevawn Strong who threatened to kill his son, stabbed his mother, and took the child. Strong is a black male, He is 30-years-old with long dark hair, facial hair, and tattoos on his arms, chest, neck and under his eye. Strong is 5 ft. 8 in. tall and weighs around 175 lbs. He was last known wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts and red shoes.

The child was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes, and has his hair in a ponytail.

On Sept. 11, at 6:51 p.m., the Wichita Police Department provided the following information to the KBI: At 4:56 p.m., Trevawn Strong Jr. was forcibly taken from his mother by his father, Trevawn Strong Sr., who had a knife and firearm during a domestic incident at their residence at 2025 S. Grove, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.

Trevawn Jr. is in imminent danger. The suspect left in a vehicle, but that vehicle has been recovered in the 1900 block of N. Woodlawn in Wichita.
