Finally, some good weather with no rain so we could get some wood chips down on the path to the bird barn! What's left of our flock are helping to scatter them and enjoying whatever treats they find.

Thank you for your donations both through GoFundMe and the individual checks that have been arriving in the mail. We were hesitant to ask for help because that's just how we're built, and weren't sure we were worthy of it considering all of the other needs and tragedies in our country right now.

Once upon a time a young man had nothing better to do and enlisted in the Army. It took him to far away places over the course of nearly 23 years, at which time he was able to devote his heart and soul to our farm.

Vote like you mean it.

In 2005 in Mosul, Iraq we witnessed people dodging gunfire and death threats just because they were trying to vote. Their fingers were marked so they could not cheat and vote again, which also made them easy targets for terrorists.
