Have you seen Sierra?

Twenty-two years ago on November 21, 2002, a young mother by the name of Sierra “Sweetie” Thomas who was 19, years old at the time went missing and the town of Atlantic City, New Jersey was rocked by it everyone knew who had something to do with her disappearance but they have been silent and 21 years later her family and her kids are still waiting for someone to come forward and say what happened to Sierra. On this day Sierra would get her sister Stephanie Smith to take her to the 800 block of Maryland, Avenue to see her youngest child's father Robert “Dutch” Taylor who lived with his mother. Stephanie told Sierrs that when she was done for Sierra to call her to come to get her she said that she would be in the area paying bills and she would wait for her call sadly a call that would never happen because once Sierra went inside no one ever saw her again. Stephanie waited for hours for Sierra to call her when she didn't she would call Robert and ask where her sister was and he would say that she left with another man but Stephanie knew her sister would not just leave with any man. Stephanie would leave and go home and wait for Sierra but she never came home. When she asked Robert about going to the police with her at first he agreed then he backtracked and refused to go. The next day when Sierra a dedicated employee didn't show up for work her family started panicking. She would be reported missing by her mother on November 21, 2002, and they would tell police how she went to Roberts's house but never came out they questioned Robert but he said he didn't know where Sierra was. Robert would stay in the area a few more years and also gain custody of the daughter he had with Sierra but would then move to Las Vegas and his mother and daughter Sierra's case would go cold where it stands that way Twenty-one years later. I know someone out there knows something. There would be rumors years later that the night Sierra went missing some neighbors heard what sounded like a thud coming from a gun. I talk to Sierra's oldest daughter from time to time and I told her as long as I'm living and breathing I won't rest until we find out what happened to her and I meant that!💔

When we first aired the photos of the Charlotte-based flight crew killed in the DCA crash, a viewer sent us the pic below. She couldn't believe it. She had Ian Epstein as a flight attendant in 2023 and took this photo after being so amazed by his kindness. Now the photo will forever freeze his kindness in time.

"You just knew he was loving his job. You couldn’t tell he was working. He just really made people very relaxed."

The picture gave us chills. I'll be sharing more info about the victims tonight at 10/11. WRAL TV

Just 11 days into his presidency, Donald Trump has been confronted with a national tragedy.

Without waiting for a full investigation — or a list of the victims — the president began pointing fingers and attacking DEI efforts.

An American Eagle Flight from Wichita, Kansas, with 60 passengers and four crew members, collided midair with an Army helicopter that had three onboard near Reagan Washington National Airport. Trump confirmed there were no survivors.

“This was a dark and excruciating night in our nation’s capital,” he said at first.

From there, Trump’s rhetoric became more political.

Rather than using it as a moment to forgo political combat and focus on the victims, he took the opportunity to criticize FAA’s DEI efforts.

"I’ve been an investigator for 35 years, investigating aircraft accidents, and when you talk about standards, what we just saw does not meet the published international standards of providing information in the wake of an accident," said Jeff Guzzetti, a former investigator for the FAA and NTSB.
