It’s about local bands, musicians, artists, shows, venues, and even the weirdo freaks that come out and attend the local goodness. **What is Ate-Up: The Podcast?**
You’ve heard the buzz, the chitchat, eavesdropped on the rumor mill, and now you’re investigating. It’s about local bands, musicians, artists, shows, venues, and hell, even the weirdo freaks that come out and attend the local goodness.
Anything and all things local, revolving around…that’s right, Music! Before you even open that filthy pile hole of yours and ask, Jeff & Jerri will not be discussing paranormal activities, hocus-pocus, or irrelevant human drama. There is plenty of other podcasts out there for that. ‘Dis ain’t the one.
**Who is Jeff Napier and Jerri RAMATHORN?**
Who is this bald weirdo and this fiery redhead, that may or may not be an alien? Years ago, Former NUVO Music Editor, Jeff Napier was kidnapped in Amsterdam. However, a couple of months back, a team of researchers, hell-bent on finding the legendary Flounder, spotted him on the outskirts of Zimbabwe leading a pack of monkeys, on a wild goose chase, searching for the cure for a**l leakage. After intensive deprogramming, Napier came back to Indianapolis and resumed his unique brand of music journalism. Napier has never confirmed or denied this story and thinks y’all should mind your business and shut the f**k up. And as for Miss Jerri RAMATHORN, She is known for being the infamous cult leader, that had her followers purchase her signature big colored sunglasses so they could “read between the lines” of reality. It was reported she lead these followers down a wild and dangerous road, only for her herd to find out, the glasses were bunk. What happened was, she invented a drink called Mandela Juice. Which, her followers hydrated on quite frequently. Trying to break the spell she had cast over most, fog these followers. 3 hardcore followers were not affected and currently play in a band called RAMATHORN!, which continues to espouse Jerri's beliefs. She has also never confirmed or denied any of these accusations. Similar to Napier, replied everyone should f**k right off. We are certain that Jeff Napier and Jerri RAMATHORN are lovers of all things music. Equally passionate about throwing all f**ks to the wind and having a blast, while blasting music into their earholes. If you want to get to know them, I suggest you just tune in to the podcast.
**Why NUVO? Why Ate-Up: The Podcast? Why now?**
Who puts their stamp of approval on this and allowed such a thing to take place? Well didn’t you notice the “presented by NUVO” part above? If not, you may want to get your eyeballs to check. When asking google what the word NUVO meant, I found multiple definitions. One was that it was a vodka drink with a splash of champagne. Never tried it but now it’s a must. Another one was, it embodies the characteristics of a do*****ag. This made me chuckle. Then it was said to be slang for something extremely fast in space. Well, I do like to go fast. Upon further diving, deeper, these definitions were absolute junk and what NUVO means is The New Voice. Get it, NU VO(ice). So with all that being said, NUVO is all about having a voice, and a new one at that. ATE-UP: The Podcast intends to fully embrace this meaning and aims to bring NUVO back to the forefront of reporting music that comes into our city of Indianapolis.
**ATE-UP: The Podcast will do a pre-recorded, audio-only, show once a month, that will stream on PodBean and Spotify. There’s also been talk that the two will do live airings at a certain location once a month, including live music. These events will be invited only. What is the exact date each month, you ask? No, there isn’t one just yet. This show is developing as we speak.**
