It looks like someone wiped a sharpie on his noggin 😅

Overall though, Vesuvius is SUCH a pretty Capp and I can't wait to be able to work with him and hopefully start working those spots out of his line 🤞
His pattern however continues to be absolutely gorgeous

He is so pretty 😘

Long sappy post ahead: It's been over a year, since we tragically lost Rhaegar, and I wasn't sure my heart could ever heal from that traumatic of a loss. He will forever be my heart lizard. The 3 years I had with him changed me and taught me so much as a reptile keeper. I wasn't sure my heart could handle another Tegu, and I certainly didnt plan on another normal B&W again. But when I saw this little one posted in a local group, something just screamed into my heart that this is the one. I had passed on others that I had been tagged in so many times, but something about this one made my heart ache. They listed it as a female (still not entirely sure) Her setup was so sad for a Tegu, her family said she was pretty spicy after coming out of brumation and I just knew that I needed to try to make it happen. They lived several hours away and it wasn't feasible to get her until the Boise show this weekend, and with Travis surprising me, showing up at the show, he got to be there when i went to pick her up, which meant so much. The moment I held her I knew it was the right choice. She was thin, had so much shed stuck to her toes, an overbite, but mostly, she calmed right down on my arm. Her family was nice, and offered me whatever of her setup I wanted, and I wasn't going to take any of it, but then I asked if she liked her little plush bed, because I know how much Rhaegar adored his, even when he couldn't really fit anymore. So we took that with us and headed out. I made it to the car before breaking down and turning the water works on. It was just so many emotions all at once. We are now home, and she's in her temporary setup while I finish her bigger one, and she's settling right in, sweet as can be. We've got the obvious issues to tackle, but nothing too severe, and I'm excited to start a new chapter of life with a new best friend 🖤🤍🖤🤍

This little one won't stay this dark but I could still dream that one day true, healthy, black bearded dragons will exist! This one will end up a pretty orange color! It was still super neat to see at the Phantom Dragons table at the @ReptileSuperShow #beardeddragon #reptiles #lizardsofinstagram
