A Blizzard Warning has been issued where?! I don’t know about you, but a Blizzard Warning in Southern Louisiana was not on my bingo card for 2025. Snow is coming down all across the Gulf Coast this morning. Some places could see 4-6” of snow by the end of the event.

It is not very often that this happens, but parts of Louisiana are now under a Winter Storm Watch for 3-7" of snow! The last winter storm watch issued by the New Orleans weather service was in 2021.

It’s about to turn very cold! Get ready for temperatures to fall through the day on Sunday with low 30s in the afternoon. There may be a few snow flurries or light snow showers through the day Sunday, but they will not amount to much. (No winter wonderland this time) The bigger story will be Monday morning when temperatures fall into the 10s and windchills will make it feel more like zero at times. Daytime highs will also struggle to make it to or above freezing through mid-week. Stay warm and stay tuned for updates.

Good morning! Grab your umbrella ☔️ before heading out and join me on WHNT as we talk about the upcoming deep freeze. ❄️
