I've been going to their shows for ten years, this one hurts. 52 pages, b&w (except the last page, you know how it goes), housing all the lyrics + credits plus some old photos. $5 (cash is king) limited copies available at X.Y. Sluice #11 was a labor of love. It took about sixty hours to complete from the first pen stroke to the final staple. This is the first zine I have ever fully produced from my house. It took about four hundred sheets of paper, three and a half black ink cartridges and one hundred and twenty staples. I actually paid attention to the bleed on this one. It finally looks like I've been making zines for seven years.

The first run is sixty copies only available at the Heel Turn Glamorous Void LP Release Show 06/24 at Gold Sprint Coffee. I'm giving away one copy to the winner of the ticket giveaway by Vertical House Records. Go to their Instagram profile for more details.

Heel Turn is one of my favorite bands forever. Super happy to have been asked to write out their lyrics and hop in a van with them just to turn around and write about it. Also honored to have shared space in a zine with Doc - truly unique and sincere in his own style and voice. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. More than that, I hope I spelled everything correctly.

As we approach Sluice Fest weekend, we’ve been monitoring the COVID situation in Alabama very closely, especially as we continue to see breakthrough COVID cases.

In order to safeguard our community, we ask that you mask up or show your vaccine card at the door. If you have lost your vaccine card, you can contact your vaccine provider or your local health department to get a copy. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, we ask that you stay home.
