The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is hard at work for range week as their deputies complete their annual firearms qualification course. Today I was tasked with learning more information about a fatal stabbing in Huntsville between roommates. As I was gathering information about the incident, talking to neighbors around the home where the stabbing took place, I found a roommate of the victims and the alleged murderer. The man did not speak English, but was willing to speak with me about what happened. We pulled out google translate and I conducted the interview as normal stopping in between questions to talk back and forth through our phones. This is not something I had ever done before but was able to achieve through the help and patience of the victim. Everyday this job brings new challenges, new people, new stories, and I'm just along for the ride learning as much as I can while working towards one goal.... getting news to the people!
Something I did not think I would see getting off of work tonight…. Hail! It feels like I’m back in Michigan🌨️❄️
