Crafting a Life I love
Hello everyone and welcome to Salt Town Gal! I grew up crafting with my mother and enjoying making things and gifting them to others. You could always find me painting something, dreaming of things I could do, or sharing what I made with others. This naturally progressed to me sharing my crafts on social media. About 4 years ago, I was gifted a Cricut Explore for Christmas from my husband and I was so intimidated by the machine that I let it sit for almost a year in the box.
One day, my husband mentioned it sitting in the corner and asked why I hadn’t opened it. I opened up that I was unsure of myself and was afraid to ruin such an expensive craft tool. He laughed and told me to just go for it! And I did.....
Day by day, my confidence grew with what I could do and make with the Cutting Machine. I was hooked! But I soon found out that finding cut files, also known as SVG’s, that I dreamt of making were either hard to find or not available on the market. I had to make my own!
I tried to use the Cricut Design Software to make my own cut files and YouTubed everything I could to learn how to make my own. Finally, I had success with graduating from a specialized graphics designer’s course and I’ve never looked back!
