What is Catching Dinosaurs Alligator Gar conservation? I run this page to promote conservation, life, responsible stewardship of the planet and showing the world just how amazing our Earth actually is. I have always had a fascination with toothy fish, the more teeth the better the more misunderstood the better. The first time i saw an alligator gar i was 11 years old i spent a solid week trying to

catch 5-6 footers and then came face to face with a true giant while canoeing the river. The gar I found that day started a life time of passion for these fish. I have spent the last 10 years devoting myself to learning everything i could about catch and release angling for this species and how to help the conservation of alligator gar. "Conservation is the preservation of life on earth, and that, above all else, is worth fighting for."

Been chasing gar during the day then driving halfway across the state to camp for tarpon all night. Have had mixed results but the highs have Definetly outshined the lows. This is the fattest tarpon I have landed to date.

We landed another huge tarpon at midnight, have been putting the time in and learning everything I can about the species.

The release will always be the best part for me

The shear girth of this fish was downright unbelievable, she is likely packed with ten million eggs ready to spawn we corralled her in 15 minutes on really heavy gear.

Dreams really do come true.

Still booking trips for alligator gar for this year up until the end of November. This is my favorite time of year the weather is super nice and the gar are fattening up for winter. I have open dates available I have been specializing in catch and release lure and bait fishing. There’s nothing like having a 200 pound fish chomp a swim bait 10 feet from the boat

It’s the right sized fish just not the right species 🥲🦈

Our Mission

This page exists to promote conservation of alligator gar through legislation changes, and education of the future generations. My goal is to get these fish a game fish status ending bow fishing for the species, i also aim to teach EVERYONE how they can safely catch and release these fish on rod and reel without hurting them.
