I run this page to promote conservation, life, responsible stewardship of the planet and showing the world just how amazing our Earth actually is. I have always had a fascination with toothy fish, the more teeth the better the more misunderstood the better. The first time i saw an alligator gar i was 11 years old i spent a solid week trying to catch 5-6 footers and then came face to face with a tr

ue giant while canoeing the river. The gar I found that day started a life time of passion for these fish. I have spent the last 10 years devoting myself to learning everything i could about catch and release angling for this species and how to help the conservation of alligator gar. "Conservation is the preservation of life on earth, and that, above all else, is worth fighting for."

Some giants buffs from yesterday. We had some amazing weather, our bite was a little slower fishing than normal, but we still landed some solid fish up to about 40 pounds.

With the cold weather comes smallmouth buffalo season. They have been chewing well. I will be offering guided carp/gar trips all winter. On warmer days we will do well on gar. I have caught 7 foot gar in every month of the year. Gonna take a second to show a little gratitude that I can even post here after getting hacked on both Meta platforms.

Pattern recognition and an unstoppable need to learn everything possible about my current target species. I have wondered how much trouble I have avoided being addicted to learning about and landing the largest fish possible for most of my life. The grind continues. I can see tarpon fishing being a burning passion for me for a long time.

Our Mission

This page exists to promote conservation of alligator gar through legislation changes, and education of the future generations. My goal is to get these fish a game fish status ending bow fishing for the species, i also aim to teach EVERYONE how they can safely catch and release these fish on rod and reel without hurting them.

This page is about conservation, life, responsible stewardship of the planet and showing the world just how amazing our Earth actually is. I have always had a fascination with toothy fish, the more teeth the better the more misunderstood the better. The first time i saw an alligator gar i was 11 years old, i spent a solid week trying to catch 5-6 footers and then came face to face with a true giant while canoeing the river. The gar i found that day started a life time of passion for these fish. I have spent the last 7 years devoting myself to learning everything i could about catch and release angling for this species and how to help the conservation of alligator gar.
