I get a lot of questions about "organic reach". 👀 Most people - even in the marketing community - don't understand why a budget is needed for social media when it's "free".

Social media isn't free. 😲 Your organic reach is always going to be based on the most active followers who actively engage with your content. If you have 100 followers, you are NOT reaching that entire community without paying the platform - even if they're following you. This is how the game works.

👉 Additionally, you won't reach a new target market without paying for those ads or a boost on the post.

Don't fool yourself - budget for social media and invest in a marketer who understands how this strategy works.

🌱💧🌻 This really does apply to EVERYTHING, doesn't it?! Even social media.

As we taught the Measuring Digital Marketing metrics class today, we taught the class that engagement metrics are just as important as your sales metrics. 😮 Too many people forget that social media starts with being SOCIAL, and if you don't "water" your tribe consistently, they'll lose faith in your value.

💦 Keep watering that target audience... you'll be surprised how loyal they become.
