Congratulations to the TSU Debate Team on another first-place win! The team won first place Sweepstakes at the Bulldog Bash Tournament, which was hosted by Concordia University in Nebraska. The team took 21 students to the competition, including 12 freshmen! We are TSU PROUD of these outstanding scholars!

Stand in the audacity that the world has thrown at your feet. How dare you be Great? How dare you be a Black Woman and Be Limitless? And we lift you higher and say How Dare You Not?

The podium you have been placed on - no one can ever dethrone. Our champion has already been crowned.

Sheila Jackson Lee: It took a long, hard fight to make Juneteenth a national holiday in Congress!

My work to establish a Juneteenth federal holiday began in 2013, when in Congress, I introduced my first Juneteenth Resolution to recognize the day’s historic significance. I continued to introduce a resolution each year.

But, in 2021 we were VICTORIOUS!
